I am here for Friends

About Me

Well...lets see, not much to tell other than I get really quite bored. I started playing guitar at the age of 13 and started my first band at the age of 15 with my then best friend, Dave Brunson. Also at the age of 15 I went to London (1981) to get the first hand glimpse of Punk Rock....upon returning I formed a punk band of my own called "Reign of Terror" or simply "ROT" (why DK when you can ROT?) with Billy Fraenza and Terry Sargeant, this evolved into "Voice of Faith" with Kari and Beanie and then evaporated. The year 1982 saw the birth of "Hammerslag" with fellow On Broadway/Mabuhay Gardens Punk show attendees Malcolm and Dog....... By that summer found ourselves on a cross country tour with Whipping Boy and our new singer Lucell, Malcolms on/off again girlfiend (and with Mr. Dave Brunson on Drums, who's overly christian father forbade him to go,but he went.) We met other very cool kids on that tour who's influence would linger on for years. At the end of that summer tour we all decided we did not much like each other anymore, so we ended the band (Malcolm went on to form eastbay's Christ on Parade). At this point I hooked back up with Bill Fraenza and his new guitarist Phil Means. We started my favorite band "Executioner" And then struggled along with various singers (John Norman, Mikey Finn of the future glam band Jetboy) I was then persuaded to go to Vocals/guitar and eventually just Lead Singer, blah blah. Then after our album was recorded...we broke up, mid '83...luckily for your sake.
