I am an individual. I dont follow status quo. I march to the beat of my own conga drums. I am strong yet sensitive. Complex yet simple. An artist at heart who loves love, eating snacks, lovely people, child like things (Mickey Mouse), ice cream late at night, surprise phone calls, Red Kool-Aid, spending time with people that I enjoy, the colors black and red equally, myself and most times my bday.
I am one of the only black folks that I know that does not eat meat. I hate it especially now since the FDA has approved the sale of cloned meat that YALL CAN BUY & EAT. hahaha, yeah im cool on dat.
I've been in love and have been rejected, so I now earnestly await the mutual love that I know exists 4 me. Im so excited beacause I know its beautiful.
I believe I am an underachieving straight A student who hates the grading process. I am on the quest of placing HBCUs in Cali so that more of my people will seek educational opps without leaving the state and especially since the 'good' universities in Cali keep on denying the highly qualified teens that i work with.
I think self-discovery is amazing, but God discovery is more profound and eternal. I like living in LA, but as far as Hollywood...you can keep it. I don't desire the lifestyles of those who are ALL addicted to things outside of themselves simply because someone told them they, themselves, alone, were not good enough. That type of life, I do not envy.
I love and miss my family alot since they live out of town. My SHEro's are Angela Davis, Assata Shakur and the like. I was born with a piece of them inside of me though it has yet to fully flourish. I am not on anyone's time clock, but the universal clock we call time itself. I have lived a full life so far and love it.
I am completely against the dominant white ideologies that rules our land and threatens to rule the entire world simply because of greed and pride. And so you should know that I am not a believer in this 'system' we call 'the land of the free' because its all a FACADE and most of us are not 'FREE'. They want you to be happy with them just throwing you a bone...Sorry, but NOT HERE. DECOLONIZE UR MIND, READ BETWEEN THE LINES!!! I believe that I have an FBI file opened on me and am being investigated (they are probably reading this too) due to my enlightenment and consciousness that I openly share with others regarding the real truths of history of the Americas, the governmental deceptive practices, etc...But I will always speak up and defend those who are deemed powerless. Usually that is all of us. But I will never back down nor shut my mouth out of fear. I fear only God. I believe that if you are not willing to die for the cause, you are not fighting to WIN!!
I believe Mumia should be FREE. So should the Jena 6, the SF 8 and the like. I believe that US GOVT'l officials Presidents past and present, COINTELPRO, the FBI and the CIA should all go under surveillance and be investigated themselves. Follow the money trail and you will find the truth...EVERYTIME!!
I owe the fed US government a grip of money that they will never get from me until all my people are free. And even then its subject to my own judgement. I believe in reparations and indian gaming and legal documentations and citizenship of the descendents of the indigeneous peoples (who were here 1st!!) equal rights, social justice and the continued demand for it.
I believe that salvation for the soul is the answer for all men and women whether u believe that or not. The wonderful thing about the truth is that it stands alone and is not based on your belief in it. Truth just IS!!
My pet peaves are those people who say they are fightin the power, or are all for the fight of the African continent matters who wear the garb, think the thoughts, talk the talk and aint ever been there NOR have an active have plan in the works to get to Africa either. Dont even get me started. Why dont you just step yo game up? I'd love to retire there somewhere.
I think its ridiculous that I cant find Male mentors for the kids that I tutor/coach. Nor can i find folks, in the community, to volunteer for the orgs in which i am involved in. But you say that you are conscious and fighting the power, in the movement and figthing for the cause?? Hmmmm....Are you really? It's not all about going to the rally's, having a bunch of meetings and talking about what needs to be done. All that is needed, but is time spent on not DOING. Because while you bicker and moan our kids are still suffering, families are still homeless and my baby brothaz are still dying in our own streets over nothing. Think on that... Make sure you are fighting the right battles and with the right tools.
I am glad that myspace exist for such reasons as networking and the like. This is MYspace and I can say whatever i want. I am just keepin it conscious and calling folks higher.
I believe God has a calling on my life that at times i run from, and at times I welcome and embrace. For when i am weak, then i am strong...Amen to that scripture of such a prayer, a plea, of power, of wisdom and all its profoundness. I am happy to be under God's umbrella of grace and granted a chance of this beautiful blessing that i have been given to possess.
