Sit Down Honey...Let's Kill Some Time

About Me

I did have some spiel here but I was updating my profile, but for some reason it saved it with a whole bunch of blank and I've kind of forgotten what was there but hey what the heck it probably needed up-dating anyway. One major thing you should know- My favourite band forever will be Sleater-Kinney (who sadly went on 'indefinite hiatus' this year)...well that's how I feel right now, they never did a bad song in my opinion, and they were just incredible live...at least I was lucky enough to attend both of their farewell shows in Portland.Something that amuses me- I really like the way Dave Prazak the ROH commentator, calls the KENTA finishing move the Go-2-Sleep. It's worth buying ROH DVD's (especially one's with KENTA on the card) just to hear Dave Prazak call that move...the move rules, Dave's commentary on it rules even more !

My Interests

Listening to music, cinema, Sports (spectacting, I'm really not any good at playing them), my favourite sport is Baseball (my favourite team is Seattle Mariners- which is kind of depressing right now as they've been pretty dire for the last 3 seasons), I still follow football , particularly Watford F.C(soccer to our American friends) but have lost interest in it more lately (see my Blog entry-Sack of Potatoes for my current feelings on football). Pro Wrestling- not that WWE nonsense- What entertains me is ROH, Japanese Puro feds such as NJPW or NOAH and TNA, though that's becoming more like the WWE tosh I tend to avoid. I also like to travel to interesting places around the world...my idea of a good holiday is not clubbing it on some Chaved up Mediterranean Island.

I'd like to meet:

Well I've already met Corin Tucker of the now sadly defunct band Sleater-Kinney (when they played a few shows in London in 2005)..other than that, meeting Tiger Mask would be cool, just because it's Tiger Mask and what's cooler than a man having the audacity to wear a mask that looks like a Tiger.

Music:

If you have not worked out by now...I really, really, really like Sleater-Kinney (broken up or not, still my favourite band). My other top favourites are Pixies, Nirvana, Sonic Youth and The Wannadies. I like plenty of other's too but the list is too long to list. Let's just say my musical taste leans towards Indie-Rock.

Movies:

I'll be predictable here and say that I do enjoy the work of Quentin Tarantino, with Pulp Fiction being amongst my favourite films. When it comes to films I'm less of an Indy elitist...I'm not really into art-house stuff, give me Star Wars or James Bond anyday. I usually find that Rom-Com's don't go down too well me with either.

Television:

When you've got 24 hour phone in quiz channels, you just know that T.V has reached a nadir for crapness, thank goodness for other forms of entertainment. Occasionally there is the odd good thing on the old goggle box. Last thing that really impressed me was the second series of the Ricky Gervais sitcom Extra's.

Books:

I should probably read books more, but I just can't be all that bothered...I'm more of a wait for it to adapted into a film sort of a person. You could well call that lazy but that's just the way I'm wired.

Heroes:

Sleater-Kinney, Tiger Mask, Tommy Mooney, Dave Prazak.
