I am here for Friends

About Me

I USED TO MISS HIM, BUT MY AIM IS IMPROVING!
Love to Leanne Creasey for making it my mantra, and Aaron Butterfield for buying me the book. :)
Sup? My name's Sophie and I'm lovely. At least according to Adrienne Pettitt.
I haven't really written anything in my about me for about a year now, so I think it's only right to finally utilise the box.
I'm 17. Driving is the bomb.
I'm in Lower Sixth at Queens' School, doing German, RS, Psychology and English Language/Literature. Free periods are the best part of my day.
Currently I think I'm having some sort of not-quite midlife crisis... but I guess really, I'm just growing up.
I am really excited by the most trivial of things - inserting discs into a Nintendo Wii, seeing old couples walking through the park holding hands and lever arch folders. I really appreciate it when people do tiny little things that make my day.
I've always known how amazing my friends are, but I've only just come to realise to what extent. I love how I'm so different to all of them, but how we are all at some point on similar wavelengths. I'm so happy that they're the people I call my best friends.
Year eleven was the best year of my life. Things have changed, people have moved on, I wore pretty dresses, I had a brief but special stint with the old 'L' word, and had the best summer I could have hoped to have. Even though everything had to end, I'm glad it happened.
I have a pretty good long-term memory. I'll probably remember everything you say, but don't take it personally or think I'm purposefully hanging on your every word--I do it to everyone.
When I think about the next few years I want to cry. I think change is a necessary part of development... but why does it have to happen so soon?
I'd be lying if I said that was me. But it's somewhat enlightening, surely?
There is something reassuring about the toilets. Bodily functions at least remain democratic. "Everybody shits", as Moira would say.

My Interests

Fighting crime takes up a lot of my spare time.

Things I enjoy: Benefit cosmetics, When things expire on my birthday, good music, watching movies over and over and never getting bored of them, pop culture, kinderwhores and drag queens, cowboy related paraphernalia, old cameras, disposable cameras, my dad's camera, Corin Tucker, kittyradio, most seafood, John Deere tractors, London, impulse purchases, nice days, all seasons that are not spring, Courtney Love, pictionary, default layouts, ukuleles, Roseanne, Scottish people, biding my time, insulting Natalie Collier, Brighton, good accents, hugs and hi-5s, Alex Strachan, YouTube, fat children, old people, public transport, listening to a song for the 3098019740897th time and realising how good it really is, art galleries, b+w photographs, Jenny Lewis, sleazy chat shows, chinese food, cookies, dancing in the living room with Rachel's mother, chats with Phil's mother, being too friendly with my friends' mothers, eBay, buying presents, drawing, tall people, bubble bars, big skinny hands, and pretty much being really hardcore.

Things I do not enjoy: JODIE MARSH Sean Kingston, the bastardisation of good bands through overexposure, right wing politics, limewire/kazaa/etc, wind and rain, uncomfortable situations, organised religion, fruitcake, over use of swear words to the point where they just become meaningless and annoying, NME-centric bands and the people who follow them, Mr Izhar, the PE department, fat hands, intolerence, emo, Tom Cruise, stuffy conservatives, remote towns and villages, sports, The OC after the first half of season one, people who can't differentiate between there/their/they're, Adam Sandler, my thumbs, salmon, Gerard Way, pointless horror movies, Kaiser Chiefs, general crap stuff, rats on the underground, long fingernails, Natalie Collier, death metal, snails, vaseline under fingernails, shampoo in eyes, unfairness, Shirley Phelps-Roper, being cancelled on, internet explorer, Nirvanatards, purple skittles, cheapskates, people who make vile noises when eating, scenes in public places, internet shorthand, and loads more. But let's not dwell on the negative stuff, eh?

These words are also good: Promiscuous, repugnant, dyke, wanker, vapid, fellatio, lackadaisical, whore, pseudonym, troglodyte, paraphernalia, insipid, loquacious, kumquat, totalitarian.

However, these ones are not: Amaze (when used in the context of 'that's amaze!'), nozzle, snot, blog, tenner, sack, snuff, grunt, nonsense, luxury. The word I hate most of all is ointment. Actually, I've changed my mind. I absolutely abhor the word 'gash'.

I'd like to meet:

NINO QUINCAMPOIX.
I miss the park. I'd like someone to take me there again.
I'd also like to meet someone who appreciates the value of singing Disney songs in French.
I don't like wankers. Don't be my friend if you fit that description.

Music:

Right now, it's all about Shoegaze.

One day I will make a fully comprehensive list. But not today.

Okay, well, this happened a few weeks ago but now I can finally be bothered to put up the pictures of our visit to the epitome of all that is wrong in this capitalist society (we had fun, so that's th...
