Cqt: The Man, The Myth, The Mystery.

I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

Who am I? I am a mature, romantic Computer Guru/Struggling writer who is prone to random acts of kindness and white knight dragon slaying. I have a long list of things that I want to do, places that I want to go and I'm hopeful that I'll find an attractive, smart and loving woman to help me mark items off my life list. (Extra points if she writes, reads books, enjoys movies, cuddling on a couch, dancing, live music and romantic walks with PDAs.)

I am divorced and have been for quite some time, but I'm single now. I have two great kids that have grown up and are on their own, so I'm no stranger to kids. (I like them, and for the most part, they like me.)

Im not a player, but I do write and create games (RPGs, LARPS, Computer games and Board games)

I'm spiritual person and consider myself a spiritual warrior. I believe in a higher power, but I'm not into established religions. (I prefer Nature) I explore Tarot cards, Runes and other meta-physical tools to find some answers within myself and others.

I've been living my life by a code of honor, chivalry and compassion, and I hope to meet new friends that will respond in kind. I am honest, truthful, faithful and independent, and generally a good guy So stop by and say, Hi!.

You Are The Magician
You are powerful and wise - beyond what anyone can see.
Deeply complex, you have the resources to connect to the spiritual and material world.
You posses the knowledge to manipulate your life and the lives around you.
You also have a great healing power, should you choose to use it.

Your fortune:

You have unhidden powers that you have yet to tap into.
Soon, you will better understand how to use your intellect and intuition.
Believe it or now, you will discover how you can manipulate yourself and others for good.
You are at the beginning of a path of spiritual enlightenment. What Tarot Card Are You?

NO ONE LIVES FOREVER - ShaunOfTheDead

CHANGE - Boingo in concert

Music:

I love music in many forms and styles

Here are a few of my favorite artists:

Blue October, Bowling for Soup, Chris Isaak, Cowboy Mouth, Crowded House, Death Cab for Cutie, Iron Maiden, Jars of Clay, Neil and Tim Finn, Oingo Boingo, Ozzy Osborn, Peter Gabriel, Plain White Tees, Postal Service, Save Ferris, Social Distortion, The Cars, The Knack, The Pogues, The Police, The Scones, Tool, Tori Amos, and XTC.

Movies:

I am a major movie buff. I love all kind of movies, in many genres and types. I have a not -so- secret love of Romantic Comedy (AKA, Chick Flicks) but I like manly movies, with explosivies, and swearing, and sex...yep, a lot of sex, right!

I have too many favorites to list here, but I’ll post my current favorite:

”Serenity”, by Joss Whedon – You really need to buy this DVD, along with the TV series the movie is based upon, ”Firefly”
Hosted at YourSpaceNow.com

Television:

I don’t get to watch as much TV as I used to, mostly because there is a serious lack of good shows. Don’t get me started on “Reality TV” or “American Idol” But right now, my favs are "Heroes", "BSG", "Torchwood", "Chuck", "The Office" and..."The Dresden Files" on SciFi.(canceled by Sci-Fi. You Bastards!)

Here are some of my favorites:

Angel, Bones, Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Freddie, George Lopez, Lost, Star Trek: The Next Gen, The OC, The X Files, Veronica Mars.

..

Books:

I am a voracious reader of paperbacks, hardbacks, graphic novels, comics and web comics.

Here are a few of my current favorites:

Jim Butcher – “The Dresden Files” and “The Furies of Calderon” Jim’s work will really grab you, especially his modern day fantasy/mystery series about Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only openly operating Wizard/Private Eye. Check it out, you will not be sorry. BTW - The new book: "White Night" is incredible! Also, his Dresden series was picked up and was a TV series on SciFi. Check it out!

Kelly Armstrong – “The Women of the Otherworld” series, including “Bitten”, “Dime Store Magic”, “Haunted” Her stories are as well crafted as her characters. She rocks! Her upcoming book, "No Humans Involved" will be out in May, 2007!

Kim Harrison – “The Hollows series” including “Dead Witch Walking” are a fun and spellbinding romp through a supernatural world.

I'm also reading Rachel Caine, Carrie Vaughn, Phaedra Weldon, and many other authors.

Heroes:

Wow, most of my heroes are dying off, and it does not look good for the replacements.By the Gods of Kobol, we need new heroes!

Here are a few of my heroes:

My Mom, Any Astronauts - Living and dead, Robert A Heinlein, Michael J. Fox, Ben Franklin, My Grandfather – Robert Edwards, Ian Fleming, Jim Butcher, Stephen King, and many more.
