TRAVEL: Germany, Amsterdam, Crete, Prague, Canada, Ireland, Wales, Italy, Belgium, Scotland, but that was many years ago! One day I want to return there for The Edinburgh Festival, and I've just thought that Hong Kong would be really something, but that's a long way-off, because of the cost...Anywhere I haven't been that sounds like a great blast!! Certain places in America, such as New York and San Francisco and Athens, Greece, are, I feel, waiting for me next...fingers crossed...
BATH ABBEY - HALLOWEEN 2006

I'D LOVE TO JAM WITH JOHNNY DEPP, NOT A HALF BAD GUITARIST, AS YOU CAN HEAR IN THE VIDEO ABOVE! I'd very much like to meet and have more subscribers to my blogs, so if you like a little read, about subjects ranging from travel to gig and theatre reviews, poems, real life myth and legend tales of my wilder years, and any other matters that seem relevant to my mind at the time of "penning" my blogs then be my guests!... I'd like to meet everyone in my top 24 and anyone new who wants to join "The Happy Gang"...the weirder the better, just write will ya?! some of you I actually know in REAL LIFE, and you're far-out! But I still want to meet you, whoever you are, or Hunter S. Thompson in Rock n Roll Heaven for a game of poker, Iggy Pop for a dance or David Bowie because he's really weird. Basically I like sensitive, artistic types who enjoy coming out of their shell and raising a little hell. People with strange galactic forces driving them to outrageous lengths as a lesser know ranter on speaker's corner once said...I now have found an excellent video-editing package, cheers! But that's a pursuit for the winter months...I can't upload video of me singing yet, not that the world wants/needs to see or hear it, just because it's there...I want to meet people who are themselves and not pertaining to be what they're not...I extoll the here and now. It's alright, so let's do whatever it is that makes us all feel like we're us!...I'd like to meet people you can chat to about popular culture/trivia, anyone who'll take me to America, and buy me a groovy purple van and people who are just themselves in their own unique and wonderful ways.
ABOVE, IS A PHOTOGRAPH OF A DREAM CATCHER I TOOK AT A MUSIC FESTIVAL... ...I love music...sweet sweet sweet music...just as long as it's groovin'...some people claim not to, which I think is very odd all-round. I'll tell you who I dig and maybe why real soon...Until then, you can guess or use your imagination... Bands/Artists I dig in no particular order: Lou Reed/Velvet Underground, Our Daughter's Wedding, but I can't even find one song on you-tube and I've only ever heard two of their tracks; a pretty obscure 80's band...Roxy Music, Grace Jones, Galaxy 500, Pink Floyd, Rainbow, Snow Patrol, the best band to have come out of the 2000's so far... Radiohead, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Teardrop Explodes, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, The Boss, Patti Smith, The Who, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Australian, but they can't help that! David Bowie, cos he's The Thin White Duke... The Doors are great cos they came from L.A. California, Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Iggy Pop's so cool, and comes from Motor City...and is The World's Forgotten Boy. This year I plan to do a Dylan and go electric with the guitar; I have a groovy effects box which I haven't even used yet...so if I don't please sue me...I like singing, the birds, whistlers, gigs, joining in with records at home, karaoke, or even jamming with my weird rockin' friends...I mostly like to play/sing when everyone's out; why let everyone else have all the fun all the time!!!??? Me? Entertain you? My page will have to do for now! :)

Later with Jools Holland - Music's great, even if it's a bit of an in-club Jazz/Blues evening... Harry Hill's T.V. Burp. Back in the Autumn! It wasn't back in the Autumn, but has been on for the last couple of Saturdays, and it makes my day and I like to see the world the way he does, if only for half an hour. Have I Got News For You Ian Hislop and Paul Merton have together along with their vast comic wits, taught me everything I know about Politics, which is abolutley nothing. Family Guy Lisa Simspon - She is The Lizard Queen, and she can do anything!! I'm also a great fan of the character Bleeding Gums... Fawlty Towers - English Irreverance at its best. The Gadget Show - Unmissable for gadget girls everywhere! Pimp My Ride - When I get a car/van, I'd love to have it "pimped"... The Good life Top of the Pops Robin's Nest The Banana split's Mr Benn Sesame Street
CURRENTLY READING:THE CROW ROAD - Iain BanksMOONAGE DAYDREAM - The Life and Times of Ziggy Stardust - Mick Rock and David Bowie KINGDOM OF FEAR - Hunter S. Thompson As well as trying to gen-up on a little I wanna be a traveller to America by reading the most up-to-date TIME OUT GUIDE about New York... Read a good book, cos there's nothing on t.v. The Dice Man by Luke Reinhart is particularly good, if a little pervy. Wired (biography of John Belushi) is wicked. For Drugs and Madness you'd be hard-pressed to beat The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. Poetry-wise, you really can't beat Brian Patten. The Northern Lights Trilogy was both beautifully written and very thought provoking. Move Over J.K. Rowling! I really dig editions of The Big Guitar Chord Songbook as well. This leads me to believe that the 80's was in fact the Greatest Decade in Popular Music. Classical Literature - You can't go wrong with Wuthering Heights (Emily Bronte) or Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment. Also to be notoriously noted would be Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Hunter) and Flashbacks (Timothy Leary). If you want plays/theatre, Steven Berkoff is your connection. Thanks to them all for entertaining me, especially when I was more bored and broke than I am now. Just read a good book, it works every time... Also any published or indeed unpublished poetry of Patti Smith is always worth getting your hands on.
We can be Heroes just for one day.
