2007 was the year that Mojo was born....playing just under 40 shows across Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Newcastle, Bendigo and Geelong as well as performing at the Michael Hutchence tribute concert, winning $5000 in a band competition and recording 17 songs in 5 days.
2008 is the year you will hear of this band - full of swagger, some might take their confidence as cockiness but this is a bunch of guys who love music and entertaining the masses. A rock n roll show the way it used to be.
MojoRising is a Melbourne outfit fusing elements of rock, blues, soul and funk into a sound that is infectious as it is soulful. This is lyric driven music at it's best with many relevant themes in their songs spanning diversely across freedom, love, hurt, rebellion and the love of music.
Lead singer and songwriter Jozsef James fronts the band with fiery presence and soulful vocals. Daniel Angelini on drums/percussion holds down a solid bedrock for the blistering solos and undeniable rock n' roll presence of Benny Wolfram and Luke Finn on guitars. Supplying the low end frequencies and good times on bass is Dan Hobson.
This ain't just another band in the scene...
they live, breathe and feel the music!

- STEVE BALBI (Noiseworks)
"I've run out of superlatives but enough to say you rock! To come in with little time left at rehearsal and nail each song as though you were performing on the night was great, then your performance on the night outshone even that, Thankyou for the respect you have for the music and the man."
