With over 10 years in the music industry, Frank Lamboy has forged himself an impressive career. Working under several monikers such as, Renegade Tribe, 12 Tone, Andy & the Lamboy and, most recently, Friscia & the Lamboy, chances are you have heard Frank Lamboy’s remix and production work. His success lies in his eclectic sound and off the wall, often revolutionary production work where Frank manages to blend a hypnotic concoction of soaring vocals, tribal and deep house beats. His is a vibe created for the masses. Like he says, I aim to please. After experiencing Frank for yourself, I think you would agree: He aims to please!Frank Lamboy was born into a musically inclined family, which certainly has its perks. Just ask Lamboy, a classically trained pianist, who credits his familys musical background with broadening his horizons and allowing him to think outside the box. From his mother who sings to his brother who is an artist and played the clarinet, music was everywhere during his upbringing and Frank voraciously took it all in. In the end it was the radio which introduced him to what would become one of his many passions; DJing.Lamboy created a major buzz for himself by playing live to sell out crowds in cities like San Diego, Philadelphia, NYC and Miami, where he wowed the crowds with his awesome blend of tribal infused house music.As he puts it, I aim to please. Depending to the audience you may hear old school house, tribal, trance, or maybe even a techno record. If they like soul and spiritual vibes, then they can expect world beats and deep house. Ultimately, it’s about the vibe.And people are definitely taking notice. In addition to conquering cities in the U.S, Lamboy has taken his sound global spinning his magic to crowds in Mexico, Cannes, France, London and Germany, just to name a few. As if that wasnt enough, he was also tapped to spin at many high profile parties for the likes of MTV networks, E! Networks, Ralph Lauren, NBCs Law and Order and HBOs Sex and the City and The Sopranos. His success has cemented his name as one of the most innovative up and coming DJs on the circuit today. He currently holds at The Cage in Hoboken, New Jersey.With his DJ career in full swing and showing no signs of slowing down, Lamboy still finds time to churn out some of the most inventive production and remix work out there today. A practice which has offered him the opportunity to work with the likes of Michelle Weeks, Inaya Day, Deanna, Jenn Cuneta, and Terry Maxx (see discography). The latter of the two have been developed by Lamboy himself. Under his guidance Jenn Cuneta is poised to take the dance music world by storm with releases on Ultra Records. Most recently, he and his DJ/Remix partner, Glenn Friscia, remixed the theme music for Pirates of the Caribbean 2 for Disney, which is getting much attention around the world. This man is not a flash in the pan. Whether he is writing, producing or remixing for many of todays and tomorrows hottest artists, it seems that his talents are boundless.There is still more to come from this enigmatic genius who is currently working on numerous projects for labels like, *69, Tweekd Records and Tommy Boy Records.
