Jenn Cuneta(AKA J.Cee) is a female Dance singer/actress/model who was born in Manila, Philippines and was raised and currently lives in the United States.
Cuneta, who started her career as a teen after moving to the states, began her journey into clubland as J.Cee in 1998 when her first single "Spirit Of Man" was released. Other singles followed, including "Potion" and "Now We Are Free" (from the movie "Gladiator")both singles battling on the UK Charts peaking at 3 and 1 consecutively.
In The Philippines she has also achieved star status as a recording artist. Her single from the album "Dreaming of Love", "Chip On My Shoulder", was a very moderate but successful hit. It was nominated on MTV Asia the year it was released as "Best New Artist."
In 2005 Cuneta returned to the United States, this time using her full name, and scored a top 5 hit on the Billboard Dance Top 40 chart with "Come Rain, Come Shine" peaking at 2. The track sampled Paul McCartney's 1976 hit "Silly Love Songs" and it marked the first time that McCartney allowed an artist to sample one of his recordings. With this song, Cuneta won XM Nation's (XM Satellite Radio) "Dance Artist of the Year" for 2005 and placed her on 2 additional charts, 8 on Billboard Magazine's Annual Issue on the Top Ten Most played Artist category and 7 on the Top Ten Most Played Dance Song of 2005.The National Academy of
