"On the Eve Of War" is a collection of rehearsal sessions recorded in 1989. First released on Black Montanas Productions in 1994.
DOLMEN was formed from the ashes of two other Texas acts. KARNAGE (Proscriptor, Equitant & Gary Lindholm) and ANGEL RIPPER (Shaftiel, Martin Roth & Richard Sleavin). Taking influences from bands such as SLAYER, KREATOR, DEATH, DESTRUCTION, DEATHROW, SODOM, INCUBUS, MORBID SCREAM and RIGOR MORTIS. The band created a unique style of Dark Speed Metal.
After the final days of DOLMEN, the five members went on to form three other Kult acts. Masthema formed AZAZEL'S TORCH and PRIDE.
Martin Roth joined forces with Proscriptor to form MAGUS.
Shaftiel, Equitant and Danny Benbow formed the Infinite ABSU (Proscriptor later joined ABSU in 1992).
