About Me
Linda "First Lady†RobinsBorn and raised in Nashville Tennessee, the city known for some of the world's most classic country tunes, Linda Bowling - Robins always had a passion for music, entertainment and media. "This excites me," laughs the CEO of First Lady Entertainment.
Listening to tunes played on the radio being spun into ration from albums and tapes through out the house, family functions and church always touched a place in her heart. She would watch the stars on TV as well as read her favorite magazines, all of which inspired her to dig deeper as a child into her favorite entertainer. When it came time to play, Linda and her cousin pretended to be super stars.
Meeting her better half and his love and passion for music brought that childhood feeling back to her. This gave her the inspiration to learn virtually every aspect of the music industry from music production, film, graphics, marketing, management and promotions. Ultimately, Linda started her own independent record label and production team with her family Selfrising Records and Entertainment.
Launching a new trend in Nashville, she brought "The Celebrity Makers Showcase" to Club Unique. This gave Nashville hip hop and R&B artists a place to be seen, heard, and exposed. The word spread across different regions. Collaborating with 106.1 The Beat, "The Underground," a local television show, and a online magazine called Everything Underground, Linda began to open more doors for Nashville hip-hop artists to walk through. "I was trying to let the people know that we aren't country," explains the mother of two. "We have very talented hip hop artists in our city with skills. They just need to be heard." She continues: “I remember a young guy that came across my path by the name of David. Now they call him Young Buck."
Five years later, Linda's career continues to advance. She promotes, books, and hosts some of the hottest events with headliners such as Bun B, Dem Franchize Boys, Scarface, TI and many more. She hosted the very first hip hop concert in Brownsville, TN with Yo Gotti. Using her management business skills lead her to clients such as Slim Thug's Mash Mode Management, Jim Jones' Diesel Management, as well as Young Buck, De Tay, Pistol,T-Baby, Crisis The Rhyme Don, Southside G's, Amoro Entertainment’s and Block Entertainment R&B artist JC, Core DJ’s, Center Stage Magazine,Big Bush, Axis 1 Production and to multi-platinum producer Kevin Cates, aka KHAO (Intaprize/GTT and Grand Hustle). Nominated for a 2006 SEA Award for record promoter of the year, this year for her production skills on First Lady and Yes Sir Property presents T-Baby Do What I DO Vol 2 (hosted by DJ Dime Piece) and 2007 Get’em Award.
