Based in Houston, Texas and formed by guitarist/producer Craig DeFalco, Laidlaw grew from playing the club circuit to touring as the opening act for ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motley Crue, Scorpions and Van Halen. The story is one of true determination.
Laidlaw consists of guitarists Craig DeFalco, Brian Huffman, drummer Greg Hokanson, vocalists Robbie Locke, and bassist Jerry Scott. The band spent the fall of 2005 recording at The Foam Box Recorders in Houston, Texas. In September of 2006 Laidlaw released their third album The Foam Box Sessions on Yessir Records.
The Foam Box Sessions was produced, engineered, and mixed by the infamous Joe Hardy (ZZ Top, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Steve Earle), and co-produced by DeFalco. The album showcases the band's power with its blazing potpurri of southern infused hard rock and bluesy arena rock, while showing their influences by spreading bits of country, metal, and pop through the album's eleven tracks.
Laidlaw is a band best experienced in person, with their vintage appeal and captivating live performances. Laidlaw's future is clearly laid out.
