All of my family and friends who left this world before me. I'll See You Again!
"I'll See You Again" was written by Miles with his family and friends that left this world before him in mind.
As fate would have it, on the morning of January 9th, 2008, his lifelong friend, Rodney Little, was in a single car accident on a Mississippi highway and left this world.
He was 43 years old.
The demo and lyric sheet to this song were with him. Rodney's family salvaged them from the wreakage.
This one's for you, Brother.
I know I'll see you again someday on the other side. ~Miles
"I'll See You Again" is performed by
Ellis Odom (vocals) and Wayne Williams (guitar and background vocals).
Biography of a Musician -
George “Miles†Creamer was born to George and Maxine Creamer on February 22nd, 1963 in Eastpoint, Florida. He was the second oldest of four children. Growing up on the banks of the Apalachicola Bay in a small oystering community, his childhood was richly steeped in music. His father, George, learned to play the guitar as a boy, therefore, exposing his children to the art from the start. He was a music loving, guitar player who played at home for his family as well as in bands on the weekends. His enthusiasm for making music was highly influential on his oldest son. Miles inherited his love of playing music at an early age from him, although, he veered towards the deep, thumping sound that came from a bass guitar. Whether it was gospel music that his grandmother favored, country music that his parents enjoyed or southern rock and roll from the bands of his time such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet and The Marshall Tucker Band, Miles knew that it was his destiny to play it all…and that is exactly what he has done!
Miles and his friends would meet behind his childhood home in a one room shack dubbed “The Music Shack†to practice playing songs while friends and neighbors of all ages would gather round to sit and listen into the late hours of the night as the boys entertained. Many hours were spent there over the years with musicians of all calibers and of all musical instruments. This is where he began his own style of bass playing that would later be perfected with his many years of musical experience.
Miles has become known for his mastery and original style of intensely playing the bass with such vigor that could only come from the deepest chambers of his heart and soul. The music that cascades from his bass can be as soothing as a graceful lullaby or as electrifying as a summer thunderstorm making the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!
