Our debut CD - Specimen coming soon!

About Me

In late 2002, Pete LaRussa (playing drums at the time) and Joe Leone (a.k.a Joe Beard) got together at Fastlane Studios with the intention of having a simple jam session. That session produced ideas that would eventually become Spacebeard songs. Fast forwarding to the summer of 2003, Verderame (Bass), Joe & Pete got together at Pete's apartment to collaborate together and look towards starting a new band. Immediately, the three would write their first song together which would later be named "Swords" upon completion. Since Pete was writing music on the guitar, the idea arose to get a full time drummer. It took until 2006 (through 2 different drummers) to secure a permanent drummer for the band. In July 2006, Spacebeard welcomed drummer, Brett Malas, into the band. Our debut CD - "Specimen" will be released soon! Keep checking this space for any updates.
