"OF ALLDA GIN JOINTS IN ALLDA TOWNS OF ALL THE WOILD, SHE WALKS INTO MINE"
This year in America, more than 211,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 43,300 die. One woman in eight either has or will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. In addition, 1,600 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 400 will die this year. If detected early, the five-year survival rate exceeds 95%. Mammograms are among the best early detection methods, yet 13 million U.S. women 40 years of age or older have never had a mammogram.

Christina Rubino began her musical journey in 1995 as the singer, songwriter and guitar player in Snapdragon, which soon evolved into Pettycoat. With dirty guitars, melodious yet aggressive vocals, Pettycoat became a local favorite in a vast spectrum of scenes in and around the NYC and Brooklyn area. Pettycoat, consisting of Mark Weizorek on bass (and too many drummers to mention) dissolved in Spring of 2001. "Big City Radio" was the next project in the Summer of 2002, a new wave band rocking melodious keyboard lines, clean guitar sounds and sultry vocals. BCR came to an abrubt halt when their drummer Vinny Wager left to persue a life in London. Now Christina, a twenty something harlet with over 10 years of vocal and booze abuse is persueing an acoustic journey in which a seasoned life, combined with a volatile spirit and a 12 string guitar produces some very heartfelt and emotional music.

Sounds Like: Im not very pretty when I play. Im sweaty and my makeup runs all over my face. My voice is trained but abused...so its really loud and cracks sometimes with emotion. I play hard and well and I write songs that break my hands by song ..5. By song ..6 pain is shooting up my left arm.I don't think I have a serious problem, I think that it is just a little more strenious to play a 12 string. I am posessed by whatever song I am playing. This is the greatest grace I have ever received, to be a channel for music that speaks to me. There are no sweet song introductions or coy lovie shit. There is cursing and joke cracking as between song banter. I only introduce one song and thats Billys song. Otherwise I think it better to be yourself onstage, even if you are offensive. That is the nature of Rock n Roll. What does it sound like? Who the fuck knows but Ill tell you right now that shit sounds real. Enjoy :)THIS IS THE QUEEN. I LOVE HER. I WOULD LIKE TO MARRY HER.

I like my new paintings.....they speak things I could never really express. They are to me, as Fields of wheat were to Van Gogh.....They are not up yet, but when they are all done I will put em up :)
