SMILE UP!

About Me

I write and perform melodic & bittersweet songs on my acoustic guitar.
I draw and paint and write. I like my friends and my family and having fun; drinking, laughing, cooking, going places, traveling, learning, exploring, conversing, listening, and experiencing.
I'm fun but moody. Energetic but lazy. Positive but pessimistic. Outgoing but solitary. That's life.
I'm a good friend, I think. I'm pretty sure I treat people like I'd like to be treated. But I could be wrong. There used to be more here, but I'm cutting it short because who cares? I like rock'n'roll.
Here are some quotes I think are pretty cool and also fit my personality...
"If being an egomaniac means I believe in what I do and in my art or music, then in that respect you can call me that. I believe in what I do... and I'll say it."
~John Lennon.
"You have to be right up front and be true to yourself and people around you- true as can be."
~Duane Allman.
"Here's some simple advice: Always be yourself. Never take yourself too seriously. And beware of advice from experts, pigs, and members of Parliament."
~Kermit the Frog.
"If you have it and you know you have it, then you have it. If you have it and don't know you have it, you don't have it. If you don't have it but you think you have it, then you have it."
~Jackie Gleason.
"I never met another man I'd rather be."
~Charles Bukowski.
"As long as you hate, there will be people to hate."
~George Harrison.
"The most effective way to do it, is to do it."
~Amelia Earhart.
"Music washes from the soul the dust of everyday life."
~Saddhu Mahhamsarat Jinji Yoga.
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
~Martin Luther King Jr.
"SPEND IT ALL!!!"
~Richard Manuel.

My Interests

Rock 'n' Roll!
and
creative endeavors!
I enjoy (and in some cases make) art, music, movies, photography, reading, writing, comics, cuisine (food and drink- I like to cook), good times & easy livin', girls & women (especially those that wear skirts, stockings, & heels; SEXY!), Fisho my betta (that's a Japanese fighting fish, fucko! He'll fucks you ups!), fun times, problem solving, being busy, silliness, absurdity, nonsense, and of course back-breaking labor. (That last one was a joke.)
There's a lot more, I'm interested in alot of shit, but those're the basics.
Oh, by the way...
I'M A FREELANCE ILLUSTRATOR/ARTIST!
So if you know anybody that needs an artist/illustrator for anything, send 'em my way!
I could use the scratch.
MY WEBSITE/PORTFOLIO:

T.P. LOMBARDOZZI'S ART!

Lemme know what ya think.
I'd love to hear some feedback on my stuff. ENJOY!

I'd like to meet:

I'm not looking for anyone. But, I try and surround myself with good people... though mostly, I spend my time alone.
I'd like to get some people interested in my music & art, that'd be cool. The more of you involved and interested, the better! It's meant to be shared, so, check out my "official art & music page" for fun stuff:
TOMMY LOMBARDOZZI'S MUSIC & ART PAGE!

Here's what I've most recently got planned on the live musical front: Check it out, bitches! ...
TBA...

Music:

***NOTE TO BANDS: Don't friend request me without sending me a message or something first. I'm not here to be a number on your page! MESSAGE ME FIRST! Give me a reason why I may like you! ENTICE ME, MOTHERFUCKERS!!!
'Cause chances are, I won't listen to you via some random mass-requesting effort.
Anyway...

I love music, really. Listening, writing, recording, etc etc. Music is my one true love. It is the one constant in my life. Sometimes, it's really all I've got and other times it really kills me. To quote Mr. Ed Norton;
"Why, O why was I blessed with this musical talent?!"
I'm a big fan of The Beatles
...best band ever...
(especially George)... plus...
Faces,
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers,
The Police,
Queen,
Johnny Cash,
Radiohead,
Wilco...
... there's just too much to list.
Everything is rock'n'roll to me.
Classic soul & R'n'B is my favorite type of music ... Stax, Motown... great shit.
I listen to so much stuff! I used to have a lot of it listed here, but really, who cares?

Movies:

GHOSTBUSTERS is my favorite movie!
Martin Scorsese is my favorite director.
I also like... Coen Bros.' films.
Akira Kurosawa's films.
Steven Speilberg's films.
Woody Allen films.
Paul Thomas Anderson's films.
Clint Eastwood's films.
Tim Burton's films ...
Again, the list is long... and again, who cares?!

Television:

THE HONEYMOONERS (the best show ever!)
Also, I like these alot... Cheers (the 2nd greatest show ever!), Seinfeld, Six Feet Under, Entourage, The Sopranos, Heroes, Big Love, Rome, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Extras, Da Ali G Show, John From Cincinnati... & FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS is my new favorite show!
THANKS, HBO!!!...
The Food Network (Iron Chef, anyone?), DIY, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, A&E, Bravo, TCM, The Biography Channel, National Geographic Channel...
...man, I'm a fuckin' nerd.
Chappelle's Show, Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe, Arrested Development (How this show isn't still on the air when one like 'Friends' was on for 10 years is a mystery to me! Fuckin' disgraceful.)
Also, I like watching crime shows like Cold Case Files, City Confidential, Notorious, etc. Fun stuff... and creepy, too!
I also watch the Office, 30Rock, & My Name Is Earl. I TiVO that shit! Because I can't be tied to a TV schedule. I don't really care that much. It's just a way to kill downtime between adventures! WOOOHA!
Wait!... I forgot Good Times, Welcome Back, Kotter!, What's Happening??, Taxi, All In The Family, Sanford and Son, and Three's Company. Classics, all!

Books:

Women, Ham On Rye, Mockingbird Wish Me Luck, Factotum (these are all Charles Bukowski books; Go read 'em!!! I celebrate the man's whole catalog.)
The Amazing Adventures of Cavalier & Clay (great fuckin' book! Pulitzer Prize winner!).
I Know This Much Is True.

I Me Mine.
Brain Droppings.
Miles.
Cash.
Bone by Jeff Smith.
High Fidelity (Nick Hornby writes cool books.)

Any Calvin & Hobbes collection. (Bill Watterson's a genius.)
I have also enjoyed various Kurt Vonnegut, Stephen King, Elmore Leonard, Bret Easton-Ellis, and Irvine Welsh books...
I continuously like stuff by Dr. Suess, Shel Silverstein, & Edward Gorey- always great visuals and wit.
Various autobiographies (especially music ones), cookbooks, art & photography books, history books, music books, crossword puzzle books (geek!)... And lotsa comic books and graphic novels, especially anything by Frank Miller, Alan Moore, Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale, and Alex Ross!
Special shout out goes to Erik Larsen's SAVAGE DRAGON. The only comicbook I've continued to buy and read since 1992.
Also, probably my favorite comic ever, Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo. That's a great book.
I read alot...

Heroes:

George Harrison, Jim Henson, John Belushi, Jackie Gleason, Shel Silverstein, Fred Rogers, The Beatles as a whole, The Sweathogs, Grandpa Johnny... Oh, and Friday the Cat. R.I.P., Fat Friday. You were a great guy.
