About Me

Well let me see... I am a suburban Nashville resident, though a transplant from the great state of Michigan (no Appalachian State comments please). I, like every other Nashville transplant, am a singer/songwriter who once had a dream. I still have a dream, only a different one. More importantly, I am a husband and a father. I am deeply Christian, but I don't speak the language. I'm not particularly fond of vegetables. My favorite authors are Anne Lamott and C.S. Lewis. I do not like hunting, fishing, or winter. I do not like lakes, but I love the ocean. Not the beach, mind you, just the ocean. I am annoyed by people who flick their cigarette butts out the window of their car and onto the streets where we all must live together; but I am not confrontational so I never say anything. U2 is the best band ever. The worst is probably Firehouse. I read Motor Trend magazine every month but do not have a subscription. I am hopeful. I try to do the right thing, but often fail. I can't figure God out. I probably do not try hard enough. I watch golf on television. I want everyone to like me. I often apologize even though I am right. I love quotes. Eleanor Roosevelt once said "Do one thing each day that scares you..." An example of that for me would be trusting God to catch me when I jump. I'm currently staring over the edge...See you soon.

Prayer...

So here's the thing... I am not good at prayer. When I pray I feel silly, and when I don't I feel guilty. I know we are supposed to be in a constant state of prayer, and I think about my life and...
