My name is Jamie Vincent Carroll. I have been writing, recording and touring for over 16 years and I am completely finished with trying to be cool. I could not be where I am now without the help and support of my family and friends. Especially people like Gray Burchette, Keary Reid and all the other musicians who join together as The Jamie Carroll Band from time to time.
"There is a certain freedom when you find out that FITTING IN or BEING COOL is actually not cool at all." I am happy to share my songs with anyone who will listen. There is no such thing as "outdated music". Music is timeless and should remain respected as that.
I have made many mistakes in life and I try to write songs that reflect what I have learned along the way. Before you read my professional biography below I would like you to know "Who" I am.
I have struggled through the years with the decision to devote my music entirely to helping people know God better. People like me who have made many mistakes and are not afraid to talk about them. People who have been pushed away by "Church" and people who are seen as "less". The single parents, the step children who feel unwanted, the divorced who are trying to begin again with new hopes and direction, those who feel the weight of debt, the curious, the worn out, burnt out, beat up, beat down, tired, weary, nervous, confused, kicked out, picked last, laughed at, rumored and lied about, blamed and accused people who are trying like myself to live as close to God as we can...even when we do not understand Him. I hope to be the voice of the Outcasts, Confused and Forgotten.
While I have made my own bad decisions I have learned that all decisions that were made without Christ are the ones that brought pain, sadness and confusion to my life. The decisions I made based on Christ are the one's that have brought peace and understanding.
I have finally realized that I will NEVER understand it all, however I choose to take what I do understand and teach and share it with people everywhere I go. I am supported and loved by the most amazing woman I have ever met. Her name is Jamie Lynn and someday soon she will become my bride.
I have two beautiful sons named Micah and Ethan- They are my world and I hope they never make the same mistakes I have....though I know they will make their own- I plan to be there to show them forgiveness and God's love as well. I have a Yorkshire Terrier named Leila....she is spoiled and makes me mad, but also makes me laugh and smile. My Mother is the most amazing Woman on earth and I have learned the most about God and Love
through the way she treats people and how she raised me as a child.
My sister, Jessica is interesting and could probably be president someday. My Grandmother is from Germany and I miss my Grandfather very much. He is with God now. My Dad is the reason I ever began playing Guitar. We did not see one another much through the years, but "his song is my soul" (Dan Fogelburg).
So- That is a crash course in Jamie Carroll....

I do support any word brought out of Love, Patience and with the intention of someone finding God at their own pace- for God is Love and continues to show me that everyday I wake up and experience life with my friends, family and my two little boys.
I am not finished with learning about my faith and God is not finished with me.
This life is not about me...not about a record deal and not about our American or personal views on Jesus. It is about God. Loving and thanking Him...Worshiping Him and realizing we do not have the answers.... yet He does.
Now for the history stuff....
Biography by Faith Malloy:
Jamie Carroll is an artist who writes and performs with honesty and passion that stems from his personal journey through life's lessons and experiences. He has seemingly boundless energy and Enthusiasm on and off stage.
His spirit is infectious and his music is powerfully captivating. He can be standing in a small room full of people or a festival of thousands and deliver his songs with the same conviction while holding the listeners in the palm of his hand.
Jamie says, "I write songs about Love, Grace and Forgiveness... without these things I would not be who I am and I would not feel so passionately about my songs. Beautiful things can rise up out of the ashes of our lives IF we allow them to. This is my story...so far.... pretty much falling down... and getting back up."
Performing at literally thousands of events since 1991 and more than 6 independent recordings later, Jamie released his first National "Self Titled" CD in 2007 with Producer Mitch Malloy in Nashville, TN. Jamie has enough material for at least another 4 full length recordings at this time with no sign of slowing down in the song writing area or with touring.
From Coffee Shops to Festivals, Weddings to living rooms, bar rooms, Vineyards and even Churches, Jamie Carroll continues to travel the highways and take down notes along the way.
"Who knows? You may even find yourself in one of my songs someday! I hope I will say the things you've all been dying to say... No one is better than anyone else... I remind myself of that daily...my songs are for all of us."
