I thoroughly enjoy all the training that is envolved in my profession: dieting/nutrition, grappling(Brazillian Jiu Jitsu & Wrestling) Boxing, Muay Thai Kickboxing, strength training(weights) and endless cardio. I am an extremely spiritual person above all...my Native culture is the backbone of my life. It allows me to stay focused and grounded. It is my fuel to train and push my self beyond my limits daily...and ofcourse step into the cage. Everytime I enter the Cage, it is a spiritual journey for me. My true judgement in front of my Creator...a personal vision quest. My Warrior Spirit is what fights...and my faith, regardless of outcome is strengthened each time. Filming the "The Fight Science" for National Geographic with Bas Rutten, Dean Lister, Randy Couture and ofcourse Spirit Wolf (aka Chief Tomahawk) was a Blast!! Here we are doin our Ninja Turtles action scene after doin all the CGI motion capture...very sreious moment so dont laugh at us ok...Haha!! After a few 14hr days we all went bananas...lmao!!UFC, Pride FC, Spike tv...Also the Food Network (only my close friends kno this so shhhh...I only snack on cheat days...haha!), Discovery channel (love the outdoors and animals)...and ofcourse: I love Sports (especially Football): San Diego Chargers Im also a Huge USC Trojans Football Fan.
Books:
All Native history/culture books...SciFi, Fantasy are always compelling to me... and all books that improve my mind body and spirit somehow...including anything about Wolves My animal spirit guides me, and gives me my strength...
Heroes:
Have lost some of my dearest friends n family, and they live on forever in my heart: Coach James Saludares who taught me to never give up; to push past all physical, mental, and spiritual boundries in the persuit of absolute victory within. Jesse Torres, my close bud, our memories still makes me laugh today. We worked, trained , and helped each other however we could. His passion for fighting lives through me, he wanted us to be champions. One day, no doubt about it, we will be champions...together. My beautiful grandmas and great grandma who always gave me the unconditional love that fuels me everyday. All the kisses and hugs they gave were not wasted or forgotten. It truely heals my heart. I can still feel them holding me after the toughest days, encouraging me to go live, to go get my destiny... Finally Ive lost touch with my spiritual mentor and medicine man: Uncle Albert Flores, his guidance and healing touch saved my life. He helped give me the peace and strength inside to live, guided by true faith... These caring people have inspired me everyday to never give up at anything i do, and to love those closest to me with a passion. Thank u all so much, u are all I hope to one day be.
