Beauty does not fade with age, but grows with wisdom. -- Amira Meaker

About Me

"A gentle word turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Always treat everybody you meet with grace, love, and respect through not just your words, but your actions and thoughts as well. This is the way I choose to live my life and I hope to inspire others to do the same because beauty truly comes from within.

"Who you are speaks so loudly that no one will ever hear a word you're saying." How you live is the ultimate statement.

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful looks, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."

"Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart."

"Ever since I have believed in the value of two things: kindness & clear thinking. At first these two remained more or less distinct; when I felt triumphant I believed most in clear thinking, and in the opposite mood I believed most in kindness. Gradually, the two have come more and more together in my feelings. I find that much unclear thought exists as an excuse for cruelty and that much cruelty is prompted by superstitious beliefs."

"Live your life so that one day you may look any man in the eye and tell him to go to hell."

"If you can't take me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."

"Life's not worth a damn 'til you can say "Hey, world, I am what I am." I am what I am, I don't want praise, I don't want pity. I bang my own drum, some think it's noise, I think it's pretty. It's my song and if you don't like the style I bring it. My song, so at least respect my right to sing it. Your life is a sham, 'til you can shout out loud, "I am what I am." ... What I am needs no excuses."

Please note that the video on my profile is not a representation of me as a person. I am NOT a goth in real life nor do I try to be. The video was filmed as a test shoot for the lead character, Lea Bautista, for the film "Cherry Mapping" which is being released in 2009 at the Sundance Film Festival. Fortunately, I got the role and I am very excited about this project and working with the talented cast and director, Robert Williams.

I am also working very hard on several other MONSTER projects. No, they don't have anything to do with monsters ... they're just monstrously huge projects just like my vision. Keep an eye out for Lipstick Muses Inc., Organic Foods and More, and Wicked Craft Entertainment. :] I may have a steady modeling and acting career, but I perceive myself as a savvy and intellectual businesswoman. If you're looking for a driven, motivated, and ambitious member on your team, I'm your lady! I make things happen.

Now, a little bit about me and my background. You'll discover that I have experienced a lot in life and I have proven myself to be an intelligent individual. I also consider myself a lover and a fighter. I love everybody around me, but I refuse to let any adversity get the better of me.

I have always been book-smart and I've won many writing and music awards over the years. In High School, I was that kid who had a leadership position in most of the clubs, participated in all of them, and even created my own. I have always pushed myself to be better, stronger, faster, etc. After I graduated from high school, I attended Cornell University on a full Naval ROTC scholarship. I also got a job working as a Research Assistant for the government. At Cornell, I studied International Relations and Asian Studies.

After attending college, I enlisted in the Navy. I've gotten a lot of crap about this decision, especially from my family since I come from a long line of military officers. I had a calling and I didn't ignore it. I served as a linguist for the Navy. After a year I was fortunate enough to get out of the Navy and now here I am.

So, some random facts.

I am multi-lingual. I play piano. I prefer to improvise on the piano. I write my own music. I can sing any style of music. I write novels, short stories, poems, songs, et cetera. I have acted in theater and film productions. I see modeling as a means of channeling emotions and feelings through art -- like acting, in a way. I play video games. I'm athletic and I love the outdoors. I've studied martial arts. I am a trained marksman (or markswoman, rather). I like weapons.

I feel that, in life, there is never any excuse for you to be unsatisfied with your circumstances. Life is too short to complain and if it seems as if the world is tumbling around your ears remember that we are never given more than we can handle. So have faith in yourself and in the power you have to make a difference in people's lives as well as your own. ^_^

My Interests

I am a light and my goal is to make people aware that we are all lights! Shine on, you crazy diamonds!

My number one hobby is to learn. I learn from books, music, people, animals, and the cycles of the earth. Through learning, we understand. Through understanding, we can help ourselves and others.

"... So shines a good deed in a weary world ..."

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation." Don't live your life as an understatement. Break out and liberate yourself!

Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can't change. kiss slowly, play hard, forgive quickly, take chances, give everything and have no regrets. Life's too short to be anything but happy.

'L' word doesn't just stand for 'LOVE'... LIVE LIFE; Laughing with your FAMILY, Lounging with your FRIENDS, Learning from your PAST, Listening to your SOUL, Lying with the ONE that holds the KEY to your HEART, & Loving all those CLOSE TO YOU! So enjoy your day, cherish your time here and make every second a moment and every minute an experience!

I'd like to meet:

Positive people that strive to make people smile. Like me! :]

""When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

"...And if we cannot end now our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity. For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal."

I SURROUND MYSELF WITH OPEN-MINDED AND HAPPY PEOPLE. HENCE, IT CAME AS A SURPRISE TO ME WHEN I RECEIVED A CALL THE OTHER DAY FROM A SOURCE THAT WILL REMAIN UNDISCLOSED. THIS PERSON REPEATEDLY PLACED ME IN STEREOTYPES AND IT IRKED ME. A HUGE PART OF DISRESPECTING A PERSON STEMS FROM NOT SEEING THEM FOR WHO THEY ARE, BUT MERELY PLACING THEM AS A FACE -- AN OBJECT, IF YOU WILL -- IN A CATEGORY OF PEOPLE -- FURTHER PERCEIVED AS OBJECTS. USUALLY, PEOPLE WHO FEEL THE NEED TO RELY ON STEREOTYPES AND OVER-GENERALIZATIONS HAVE ISSUES THAT I HOPE THEY CAN COME TO TERMS WITH.

WE ARE ALL INNATELY SIMILAR YET INHERENTLY DIFFERENT. I MAY HAVE ATTENDED AN IVY LEAGUE UNIVERSITY, BUT I'M NOT SNOBBISH. I MAY HAVE LIVED IN OHIO, BUT I'VE LIVED AROUND THE WORLD. I MAY HAVE SPENT MY CHILDHOOD IN EUROPE, BUT MY HEART BELONGS TO THE WORLD. I MAY LOOK ASIAN, BUT I AM PART-IRISH. I MAY APPEAR PHYSICALLY ATTRACTIVE, BUT I'M NOT AN EMPTY-HEADED BIMBO. I HAVE HEART, I HAVE PASSION, I HAVE COMPASSION AND I AM INTELLIGENT. LET'S NOT DISRESPECT OTHERS. IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO MAKE THE EFFORT TO UNDERSTAND BECAUSE YOU'RE STILL COCOONED IN YOUR OWN NEUROSES THEN DON'T IMPOSE YOUR MISCONCEPTIONS ON ME. IT'S RATHER RUDE. OTHER THAN THAT, I HOPE WE GET ALONG GREAT. :]

I'M A BLESSED INDIVIDUAL. MY LIFE IS FULL OF LOVE, HAPPINESS, AND COMPASSION AND I HOPE TO SHARE THAT WITH EVERYBODY I MEET.

"wow u are a busy person! what is the name of your film? i'll keep my eye on it. i like indy films, they have the most original ideas.... sometimes really hoaky, lol but fun to watch anyway, so chances are i will see your film. How we were raised has a lot to do with who we turn out to be, regardless of how pretty or ugly you are. Visual stimulation is one of our earliest stimuli from birth, and i think that just kind of carries on throughout life as the dominant deciding factor in the things we do. when we shop we look at what we find most visually appealing, when we pick a person to be with, we typically phase out the ugly people and leave the attractive ones left for further deduction. The fact that you ARE gorgeous, and are able to be modest and want people to see you for your brains rather than your perfect shape, speaks a lot about your character. just this short conversation has changed my stereotypical view of models, and that shows proof that you truly have something to offer the world other than amazing pictures. haha. I dont think you could be just a roll model for other women, but men as well. the importance of intellect over beauty is something that has been phased out through media influence, most directly towards women, but men are very obviously just as effected."

My Dear Princess, Wow, and Wow again. you are such a awesome person, words can not describe you, but just let me tell you one thing: you are an wonderful Angel. you have it both inside and outside beauty. I consider myself so blessed and lucky to have the opportunity to meet such a person, I love your personality as well as your Gorgeous look.

"emmy gould is hotter than the money Suge Knight used to start Death Row Records, lol."

"haha, no no, thank you! u are absolutely gorgeous! why is it that only the models that you know you can never have or will never meet always have the best pictures? lol its not fair! anyway, i can leave you be now, i just wanted to give credit to you where it was due, cuz you are by far one fo the most gorgeous women alive i'd have to say, perfect face, tummy, legs, feet, head to toe perfect. well see you around, later doll"

Thank-you so much for all your kind words!

Music:

Eclectic. Favorite band? Hands down, Pink Floyd. Opera, Trance, Ethnic Folk, etc. Music is the language of the soul and through its beats, tones, and rhythms we are able to convey the color of our hearts. Music is pure. There are no lies in music unless driven by greed.

"It is incontestable that music induces in us a sense of the infinite and the contemplation of the invisible."

Movies:

CHERRY MAPPING!

Platoon, The Crow, Requiem For a Dream, Nightmare Before Christmas.

Television:

24, Family Guy, Scrubs.

Books:

The Art of War by Sun Tzu, Markings by Dag Hammerskjold, Body of Secrets by James Bamford, Book of Proverbs, The Spiritual Brain

Heroes:

My Mom for being the epitome of beauty and gentle wisdom -- an unconditionally loving wife and mother. Pope John Paul II for being a strong spiritual leader and through his death, confirmed my faith in God and invited me to devote my life to the Lord. My sisters, Priscilla and Maggie, for being such gorgeous examples of women and for bringing added joy and wisdom into my life. My love, my light, my life. :] And finally, my daughter (soon to be born), for completing me as a woman. :)
