I am here for Friends

About Me

I was working a low paying retail job at a fabric store while holding several under the table odd jobs, when I realized how much I hated going to work.. this is about the time I quit just to see if I could live off of the freelance stuff.. it's been 4 months now, and apparently I can. Currently I am a nanny, a preschool teacher, I work at a prop shop, I sew costumes for children's theater, and I work as an illustrator/ cartoonist for 78 magazine. Sometimes I make corsets if you give me enough money. I really love drawing and am currently working on a cute little ABC book as well as my comic "My Big Toe". I also love dancing.. If drawing was my husband Bob, then ballroom dancing would be my outragious latin lover Martine.. Martine and I would go out to Victorian balls and Friday Night Waltzes, being swept away by the "passion of the dance".. and when I come home at 3am breathless, dishevelled, and smelling of other men's colognes, all that Bob can do is get a bit out of me while I'm still awake.. poor Bob... mmm... Martine.. Also, it's a bit wrong how much I love sewing and petting fabric.. the things me and my sewing machine have made!

My Interests

Drawing, cartooning, reading, mythology, folklore, cultural anthropology, sewing, costuming, walking at the Albany bulb, climbing onto stuff, chickens, learning new things, making big dinners for my friends, playing boardgames, singing loudly, and dancing! ... I'm sure there's more, but that's all the important stuff.

I'd like to meet:

people who are kind and funny.... or maybe just kind of funny.
