Lately I've been working on a novel. Lately since 1956?

About Me

I am a writer/neo-flapper who's a throw-back to the 1920s and 30s....well, let's say anytime between 1920 and 1964. See my books, Things You Need To Be Told and More Things You Need To Be Told (under the nom de plume "The Etiquette Grrls" -- both Penguin Putnam/Berkley) Learn more and find hilarity at EtiquetteGrrlStyle.com ! Shameless Plug now over. In my free time, I'm also a super-sleuth, a Hitchcock Blonde, a Bond Girl, and a character in a Whit Stillman film.
You Belong in London
A little old fashioned, and a little modern.
A little traditional, and a little bit punk rock.
A unique woman like you needs a city that offers everything.
No wonder you and London will get along so well. What City Do You Belong In?
Which classic 1930's actress are you?
Cute as a button and sweet as homemade applie pie, you simply ooze class and old world sophistication. You're an amiable soul with a great sense of humor, that makes almost everyone that comes in contact with you adore you from the get go--except for certain costume designers *cough* Edith Head *cough* But she's just jealous of your wylin out sense of style. ;) A tad on the spoiled side because of your semi-privileged upbringing, you're still one of the most generous and compassionate people around. You're also a very gifted actress, and while you are extremely proud of your cinematic accomplishments, you prefer doing theatre to film.

You Are A Martini
You are the kind of drinker who appreciates a nice hard drink.
And for you, only quality alcohol. You don't waste your time on the cheap stuff.
Obviously, you're usually found with a martini in your hand. But sometimes you mix it up with a gin and tonic.
And you'd never, ever consider one of those flavored martinis. They're hardly a drink! What Alcoholic Drink Are You?
Which 1950s actress would you be?
You're Grace Kelly. You're a graceful, sexy, but conservative icon, and absolutely gorgeous.

I guess that probably means Colin Firth, too.) Gloria Vanderbilt. (Her advice to AC upon being asked what career path he should follow: "Wear pinstripes. They're slimming." A woman after my own heart.)
Which Classic Movie Actor Is Your Type?
Your Classic Movie Actor is William Powell! Whether he's swiging a cocktail or quiping, Powell is always the life of the party. His wit and ability for physical comedy made him one of the premiere stars of the 30s. Though his fiancee, Jean Harlow, died from what is widely accepted as an abortion; Powell would be a fun but maybe unhealthy choice for any young lady.
