Hello and welcome to my site.Just a little about myself and my company is;My name is Tanny J. Retz, GRI I have earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, earned a bachelor’s degree at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana and started a master’s degree in Korea at Kyung Hee University, the Graduate Institute of Peace and I have received many decorations and awards during my Army career.In 2001 I started my career in commercial real estate following a profession in the U.S. Army as a Counter Intelligence Agent and I have been in real estate full time since.In 2002 I was elected as one of the Directors of the Society of Commercial Realtors® (SOCR), completed all of the Certified Commercial Investment Membership (CCIM) courses, and completed the brokers licenses course.In 2003 I was awarded the “Rookie of the Year†award from the Realtor® Association of Greater Ft. Lauderdale (RAGFL), where I have been active in Governmental Affairs and the Candidate Screening Committee. I was also RAGFL’s first ever “Crystal-R†contributor. The $2,500 contribution to the Realtor® Political Action Committee (RPAC) was the largest donation made by a member to the national association’s political arm. I did this because I believe that in order to ensure that our profession continues to thrive and we need to be protected against infiltration from other industries, we need to protect ourselves on the political front. Getting involved in the association on the local level and making a donation at the national level was my contribution to this effort.In 2004 I initiated and was nominated Chairperson of the SOCR’s Education Committee, where he and others on the committee designed and implemented courses that educate residential Realtors® and new commercial Realtors® about the commercial industry.In 2005 I was elected as the Chairperson to Governmental Affairs at RAGFL and in November he was elected for a second two year term as Director of the SOCR.
