1945 - June 28 - RAUL SANTOS SEIXAS is born at eight o'clock a.m. in 108 Av. Sete de Setembro, Salvador, Bahia, being baptized on September 16th at Igreja Matriz de Boa Viagem.
1959 - He founds the "Elvis Rock Club".
1962 - Raulzito and the brothers Thildo and Dlcio Gama get their first rock group together: "Os Relmpagos do Rock", playing several gigs in clubs and appearing on TV Itapoan, Salvador.
1963 - The group changes its name to "The Panthers"
1965 - The band begins to play at Cine Roma (Salvador's rock 'n roll sanctuary at the time), backing for famous artists of the "Jovem Guarda" such as: Roberto Carlos, Jerry Adriani, Wanderley Cardoso and Wanderla among others.
1966 - Raul begins dating Edith Weisner, an american girl, daughter of a Presbitarian Minister living in Salvador and promises her and her parents to give up his artistical life going back to school in order to study and enter law school.
1967 - Raul marries Edith from whom he has a daughter called Simone.
1968/69 - Raulzito E Os Panteras have their first LP released by EMI ODEON.
-The LP was a complete commercial fiasco and he returns to Salvador delluded and depressed.
1970 - The director of CBS Records/ Brazil (presently Sony Music) invites him to work as a producer which he accepts and produces a few hit songs and records.
1971 - During a long absence of the record company's director he releases without authorization his second LP, Sociedade da Gr Ordem Kavernista (apresenta Sesso das Dez). Upon the director's return he's fired.
1972 -He takes part in the VII Festival da Cano with two songs: Let Me Sing and Eu Sou Eu Nicuri o Diabo.
- Raul says that out of more than eighty songs recorded by different artists, he likes none of them and says that with those two songs he has done more serious stuff than all the other ones.
- As a result of his participation at the festival he is invited by Roberto Menescal to sign a contract with Philips/Phonogram, releasing this same year the single Let Me Sing, Let Me Sing and Teddy Boy Rock and Brilhantina.
1973 - Along with his partner Paulo Coelho they organize a parade downtown Rio singing one of his famous single hits Ouro de Tolo.
-His first album on Philips, Krig- Ha- Bandolo, is released.
1974 - His apartment is invaded by the Federal Police following alleged accusations of political subversion.
After that he exiles himself with Paulo Coelho in the States.
- He returns to Brazil to release his LP Gita. Brakes up with his wive Edith that returns with the couple's daughter to the States.
1975 - Raul is awarded his first golden record for Gita and marries his guitarrist sister Gloria Vaquer.
- His new LP Novo Aeon is released.
- Raulzito releases his last album on Philips/Phonogram, H Dez Mil Anos Atrs.
1977 - He signs a contract with the newly formed WEA Discos (Warner Brothers).
- His album O Dia Em Que A Terra Parou is released. This LP was totally mixed in the States and featured Gilberto Gil and the American guitarrist Lee Ritenour.
- Raul brakes up with Gloria. She goes back to the States with the couple's daughter, Scarlet.
Raul begins dating Tania Menna Barreto.
1978 - Recovering from his alcohol abused pancreas he spends a few weeks resting in Bahia.
Raul begins dating Tania Menna Barreto and they write the songs "Movido a Alcool", "Pagando Brabo" and "Mata Virgem".
- The LP Mata Virgem is released.
1979 - A new LP, Por Quem Os Sinos Dobram is released.
- He meets and marries Angela Costa, a secretary at WEA Discos.
- He gets involved in the murder of an argentinian killed in his sublet apartment.
The case was closed due to no evidences.
1980 - Raul signs with former CBS Records his first contract as an artist and releases the LP Abre-te Sesamo. The album track Rock das Aranhas is censored and banned from all radio stations by the Military Government at the time.
1981 - The first Raul's fan club, Raul Rock Club is created in So Paulo by Sylvio Passos.
Raul performs at the "II Festival de Iacanga" (guas Claras, So Paulo)
1982 - Raul performs at the "Festival de Msica" in Santos where he's acclaimed by more than 180,000 people.
- At a show in a county fair due to his alcoholic state he is taken for an impostor and is almost linched by the infuriated mob because he had no ID to prove that he was himself. For his own safety he had to spend the night at the expenses of the local sheriff.
- After a long period of depression he gets up again and starts a project of a book called As Aventuras de Raul Seixas na Cidade de Thor.
1983 - He signs a new contract with Eldorado.
- His LP Raul Seixas and the book As Aventuras de Raul Seixas na Cidade de Thor are simultaneously released on Eldorado and Editora Shogum labels. Raul is awarded his second golden album for the song O Carimbador Maluco from the LP Plunct Plact Zum.
- Another album, Raul Seixas Ao Vivo, is released.
- He performs at the "III Festival de Iacanga" (guas Claras - SP)
- Raul plays a Christmas Benefit Show for more than a 150.000 people at Maracan, Rio de Janeiro.
1984 - He signs up with the record company Som Livre and releases the LP Metro Linha 743.
- Raul and his wife Kika Seixas (former Angela Costa) brake up.
- He performs at the "IV Festival de Iacanga (guas Claras - SP)
1985 - The Raul Seixas Official Fan Club produces independently and releases an album called Let Me Sing My Rock'n Roll.
1986 - Raulzito signs a contract with the record company Copacabana.
1987 - His album UAH- BAP- LU- lAH- BEIN- BUM is released and is awarded a Golden Record.
1988 - His new LP A Pedra do Genesis is released.
1989 - He and his new partner Marcelo Nova sign another contract with Warner Brothers and start the recording of A Panela do Diabo album released later on the same year and being awarded a Golden Album.
Vivian Seixas (Vivi) - Raul's daughter - New York, 1999 August 21st - At nine o'clock a.m. Raul's maid arrived at his apartment downtown So Paulo and found him dead in bed.
She immediately got in touch with his doctor and his family.
The news travelled fast and soon all radio and TV stations broadcasted it.
He died at 6 a.m. from a cardiac arrest caused by the pancreas desease he had been suffering for years.
His body was taken to the Palcio da Convenes do Anhembi, where he was waken through the night and the next morning by more than 5.000 people. His death was front page in all the papers in the country.
August 22nd - His body was flown to Salvador where he was burried at Cemitrio Jardim da Saudade in the presence of his family. The funeral procession was followed by thousand of fans.
