Ill Uno Detroit, MI. is a city known for its fire breathing MC’s and can boast to claiming some of the best in the hip- hop game. Detroit has recently laid claim to another MC of that caliber, his name is ILL UNO! He is not an illusion by any stretch of the imagination. ILL UNO is a real MC to the core, he bleeds hip- hop. During his early years, his carnivorous appetite for competition was equivalent to a RAPtor.ILL UNO was influenced by his uncle and his brother, who were talented MCs as well. ILL UNO skills have led him to become one of the most respected MCs in Detroit. His outstanding reputation has led him to be featured on many of Detroit’s hottest mixtapes. ILL has released the series, “Heat Of Da Streets” volume 1(released in 2003) and volume 2 (which was released in early 2006). ILL UNO maintains a healthy studio schedule which has given him the opportunity to create some of the hottest tracks in the Motor City. DJs have sought out ILL UNO to create remixes for several popular records which found their way into rotation on Detroit’s Radio Stations. Between his Heat Of Da Streets series, ILL UNO released his debuet album “Illegal” under Bread Winner Ent. in 2004. His lead single “Get up”, “Hit a Lick”, and City of Shitty received heavy rotation and radio play. “Illegal” was produced by beat moguls such as Silent Riot, known for their work with D12’s Bizarre and the acclaimed hip hop duo Platinum Pied Pipers.ILL UNO has shared the stage with major acts such as, E-40, KRS-One, D12, Obie Trice, The Hot Boys, Naughty By Nature, Killa Army, Guilty Simpson, Black Milk. ILL has been featured in Real Detroit, The Blaze Battle, The Hip Hop Summit, Rap Files DVD, The BET Soundstage, a TV commercial for a music retailer, The Detroit News, The Free Press. ILL UNO has also had interviews and features with Detroit radio stations 102.7, WJLB 97.9, MSU radio, and Henry Ford Community College radio. Most recently he was featured in a documentary on the Detroit hip hop scene in which ILL UNO was one of three artist prominently featured titled “ The Real 8 Mile”. This documentary was aired on cable and satellite network on the Discovery Times Channel.With such an extensive resume you may be wondering what 2008 holds for ILL UNO ! His Sophomore album is scheduled to be released this spring.
