Kalada’s love for music is worldwide from New York to Nigeria, Africa and currently in Baltimore, MD his journey with music is a story waiting to be told. He started to explore music in the 3rd grade by joining the school band as a saxophonist, learning a little about the fundamentals, and about the value of practice. Two years later, 1994, he moved to Nigeria with family in tow.Right away he fell in love with Afro beat music and melodies. His uncle was a Jazz Percussionist who ran a gambling lounge, and while visiting his uncle he would listen to all kind of music from pop, hip hop, afro beat, and smooth jazz. This is where he was exposed to the late great Fela Kuti, a very popular Afro Beat artist, who today he is very influenced by.In August 2004 was when Kalada started producing music. At this time production was something he did more as a hobbyist. As he learned more about music production it became his first priority. His love of Nigeria’s great music history progressed to a love of music in every way.Currently Kalada Productions is working on songs for artist in New York and Baltimore. He often states "Music has become my focal point, the only thing I see myself doing when I wake up in the morning".
