About Me

I am oxymoronic.
I used to sing to birds in trees as a child. This would perhaps point to me being a tranquil minded, nature-loving, somewhat ethereal youngster. Then again, I used to eat bars of soap as a child too.
I enjoy small cakes and shiny things.
I have been known to fall down hills for others' amusement.
I will act on the slightest whim if I think the outcome will be wonderful at best, educational at worst. Sometimes, however I will take an age to make up my mind...
I like to play with words, in particular I enjoy the words enamel, liquor and puce.
Oh, I do enjoy puce.

My Interests

Spontaneity, passionate, sincere and honest people, the word HOBO, writing, cheese - both dairy and sentimental, midnight jaunts to the beach (preferably with both types of cheese), Frangelico, my nutbaw friends, reading words, writing words, building snow thrones, winklepickers, staying up till the wee small hours drinking and talk-talk-talking, cheesy ornamental glass animals, icing cakes, drinking White Russians, drinking Bloody Marys with my Russian, sketching Barry Manilow wearing a negligee (him, not me), froggiesnoozin', dancing like a feckin' eejit, licking salt blocks, putting the world to rights, surrounded by those I love and they're all jolly, pickling things in cider vinegar, ruddy winter cheeks - brrrrrrrrisk!, doughy-toast + baby-tea, swearing in front of children and priests, whittling wood, organic/biomechanical art, snowglobes, intelligent rock, ridiculously unintelligent rock, watching Carry-on films with my brother, mmmmmarzipan, walking under ladders, falling asleep on a warm, willing tummy, comically shaped root vegetables, being surprised by people you thought you knew inside out, the profound nonsense my nieces and nephews come out with...they've got it sussed.
I don't like. . . . .
Pimp My ProfilePeople that tell me I 'think too much', over authority (yes, I do have a massive and often quite aggravating rebellious streak), liars, sycophants and generally people that take themselves far too seriously! salt and vinegar crisps, pedancy, bloody 80's revivals!! animal print clothing - eee boke, dreaming that you've woken up when you quite clearly haven't, cats that relentlessly thrust their arse in your face in a provocative manner, gold jewellery, green peppers, red Aftershock and the truly awful moment when you stand on a plug and you don't know if it's gone all the way through...

I'd like to meet:

David Bellamy - we'd go rooting around under some hedge, hunting for worms or other such amusements or he could just cup my face in his unnaturally large hands. In a fatherly way, mind. Comforted? Rat-her.
Milan Kundera - because he seems to know what's going on...
Gene Wilder - Sweet man. A sweet, sweet man. And he looks like a bit of a deviant.
