FRIEND - OF WHOM? IS AVAILABLE NOW!!!
FRIEND - OF WHOM? IS AVAILABLE NOW!!!

Jamie and John met in Japanese class. They played together as Black Metal Kitten for a few months, whereupon John invited Jamie to play in his band Hoser . After a few months, they decided along with drummer, Jason Campbell, to form Special Dental Team, which was a completely collaborative effort on the part of the three musicians. A year later, Jamie and John found themselves without a drummer in Korea. So they started Friend. Friend has recorded two albums and one ep, and has released one album . Friend continues to create, despite these two old friends being separated by the largest ocean in the world. Between California and Japan there is...Hawaii...but between Jamie Grefe and John Adams there is Friend.

Sounds Like: Genre explanation:
Electronic - because it's made with fake drums
Ambient - because we use a lot of sound effects, and sometimes noise
Progressive - not to be confused with progressive electronica...honestly, I thought prog-rock already was using that term. Anyway, it sometimes sounds like prog-rock (progressive rock).

A rugged interpretation of two obsessive and pseudo-intellectual Americans with mystical/philosophical/lustful interests. Computer perfection plus human error, serindipidiously positive in a murderous way.

EAR - electronic art rock
Record Label: SYSTECORE
Type of Label: Indie
