About Me

BABY KING RECORDS - THE COMPANYMy first introduction to music was when a grade school friend, Alvin Campbell introduced me to the piano. When he played "Sweet Love" by the Spinners, I was hooked. After that my hunger for music grew. I learned to teach myself to play the piano by ear, but there was still something missing from my music theory. Then I met my music mentor "Eric Albert Sealls". Eric graduated with a music degree from Colgate University.. He taught me how to arrange music, mix tracks, write songs and he gave me vocal training. Eric's untimely death left me with a void in the music business. As I came to reality, I realized that both of our common goals were to be heard in the music business. Being an artist, song writer or music executive and also from experience formed Baby King Records.Baby King Represents the growth of my deceased grandson "MAYHISS" and with death we shall have internal life. This label is to create music with a meaning and redirect negativity of today's music as a whole. Music has no ethnic boundaries. My artist has to consist of "HTWE' which means Hunger, Talent and Work Ethics!Baby King Records' CEO "AARON WILSON, SR., is not afraid to take the big shot at the end of the game. He has a throbbing hunger to win and win big. The time is right, the moon is set lined up with the sun to put a total eclispe on the music industry. With the help of the world wide net makes the big dogs aka major labels stop and take notice. This country was built on independence and as you noticed it's time for the independent labels to take control of the music industry once again. Time repeats itself time and time again as the major labels jockey for position to bring the big hits or the next big artist. Remember Motown CEO Barry Gordy had a heavy hitting line up of Super Stars like Diana Ross and the Supremes, Smokey Robinson and THe Miracles, Martha & The Vandella's, The Temptations, The Spinners, The Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and the list goes on and on with no disrespect to the ones that I didn't.Today's independent labels' like Jive Records, Mix A Lot, and The early Bad Boy Label produced a mountain of hit recordings. The music never changes, although sometimes we misinterpet it.Many of today's artist change their original styles to sign with major record labels. It seems again that independent labels give artist the opportunity to express themselves in volume. If you can remember Anita Bakers' first hit song Angel was on a independent label called Beverly Hills Records. R. Kelly, Joe, Kanya West, who are just a few of the "Hottest Song Writers and Producers" in the game today. Right now the the A&R of the major labels are kicking themselves in the ass for letting these diamonds in the ruff slip away.INDEPENDENT LABELS ARE HERE TO STAY!

Talk is cheap, if you can't attend an event send a donation that's how you show your support.
Influences: Barry Gordy, Quincy Jones and every person in the game who is really doing it for the art. My Father Clarence A. Wilson, taught me work enthics. He worked three jobs and supported fourteen children. One of my older brothers Elder Larry E. Miles, whom introduce me to the bible at a early age and who was the first person to help me believe in my faith. My Brother Clarence L. Wilson, who through his example taught me how to support people and to be a big brother to so many who didn't have one. My brother Lee Morgan Miles who was the toughest guy I know and who feared nothing and would whip my ass if I did. My brother James Miles, the coolest calmest person I know. I have never seen this brother upset, no matter what happened he just stayed "So Cool". My brother Hammirabi Bey, who taught me to never take no for an answer and to believe that you can do anything you put your mind and heart to. Last, but not less, My Momma, who gave me the gift of song-she loved to sing and cook. Heaven holds you tight now, but I think about you everyday. Thanks Mom, for raising me right and keeping me in the house and out of harms way. All of the above you molded me into the man I am today and that's big. THANK YOU!! I love you all deeply--1--
Sounds Like: Baby King Records/ Baby King ManagementWhen it comes down to management nobody should manage your career better than you. I work hard for my artist, but my artist has to be motivated to the point where they should also set up gigs, arrange promotions and manage the life blend of being an artist, parent, teacher, preacher, etc.. That's what I'm looking for in an artist.I hear so many artist say their manager didn't do anything for them, or their label didn't promote their last CD properly. I have a question for you the artist, "what did you do to promote your CD". The buzz starts with you, not the manager before your label. If you can't think on this level-you shouldn't be in the game. It's good to accept concrete critisizm from people who have your best interest at heart, not someome that will just stroke your ego.The critics and haters negativity is a difference. Stay motivated! and never give up. The mountain you climb will be a steep one so make sure that you have your saftey harness on. You will have some set backs "I promise you".
