About Me

I am a white male, brown hair, hazel eyes....the rest is subject to change without notice. LOL.
Actually I am a single father with four great kids. I Love music. It is a driving force in my life. I play keyboard and trombone, though sadly, not well enough to make money with it or anything. I am a MAJOR Star Trek fan. I don't wear Spock ears or anything, but there is nothing (and I mean NOTHING) that I can not tie to Trek in some way or another.
I am an ordained Wiccan Priest and I take my faith very seriously.
I am a Severe Storm Spotter for the Nat'l Weather Service. Can we say "Supercell"? LOL. I love weather, especially severe weather. There is nothing sexier than cuddling up with that special someone while a massive thunderstorm rages overhead.
I am a computer geek. I play some computer games (Call of Duty, Halo, Asteroids, Space Invaders). I like to "mod" computers. This means changing the appearance, not unlike Overhauling or Pimp My Ride for Computers
I love to read. I will read almost anything from the phonebook to War and Peace.
I am basically a geeky, though lovable guy. I have been told I have a wicked sense of humor. This may be true because I try not to take things too seriously and I like to tease and play. I am honest though and can not stand someone to lie to me or even worse for someone to assume I am lying to them when I am not. This has happened in my life to someone I loved and thought I was going to have a great relationship with and it was devastating. SO, either believe me or leave me alone.
I have been married three times, so as a result I am not really trolling for a number four. Though if the right person comes along, there is nothing I would like better than to be married and settled and "normal" OK OK, so maybe normal is bit of a stretch, but I think you get my meaning. Right now I share an apt with my bestest friend. She is my adopted little sister. I will be alone again soon though, because in all likelihood she will be returning to her place of spawning, aka as Pennsylvania. Since I am a Virginia boy through and through, I shan't be following..LOL
Oh and I am incurably nostalgic....especially for the 70's and 80's. Yes. I realize that that is probably pathetic, but that's my story and I am sticking to it.
One last thing...if you want to be my friend...send me a message first. If you have a webcam, a sex website, porn page etc, then just go away...don't message me or request an add...if you do, I will report you as spam...and I hate spam!
Peace and Light

My Interests

I put most of this in the "About Me" Section, but here goes anyway.

I love music. I play trombone and keyboard, though sadly not well enough to have made a living of it. I love Severe Weather (storm chasin'), Star Trek (a biggie), computers, TV/Movies, building scale models. Shooting off Estes Model rockets with my kids (something I did as a kid). Bicycling, reading.

There are other things that come up now and again. Just ask and I will tell you.

I'd like to meet:

LOL, most of my "like to meet" people are dead.

Gene Roddenberry - He formed many of my core beliefs in the treatment of my fellow beings.

William Wallace and Robert The Bruce - Ach Laddie, I am a Scotsman don't ye ken. ok, so Scottish descent anyway

Glenn Miller - I play trombone. He is quite simply a musical God to me.

Ludvig von Beethoven - Again, the music enters the fray. Beethoven moves me. He created such beautiful, passionate music , and was deaf and could hear none of it.

John Phillips Sousa - As a band geek and the father of band geeks, Sousa is the Supreme Deity in Music - WWSD?

Also Johann S Bach , Felix Mendelssohn , Aaron Copeland , Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov , Hector Berlioz , Danny Elfman , James Horner , Tom Scholz and many many more.

I would have liked to have met the beings that inspired the Greek Gods and Goddesses. They are very interesting. Same for the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses. (maybe I should have mentioned in the "About Me" section that I believe in the "Ancient Astronaut" theory.)

There are many others...too many to list. I am a history buff and I constantly read/hear of people I would have liked to have met. If you have someone in mind, dead or alive, that you would like to discuss, shoot me a pm.

Music:

Everything except twangy "me and my cow" country (ie - Hanks Williams Sr,) and gangsta rap. I used to include hardcore punk, but as I have gotten older, I have developed a taste for the Sex Pistols for some reason....can't figure that one. LOL

Specifically, Celtic music, Ambient music, Classical music, swing music, marching band music (Duh...Sousa)....well damn.....

Tell you what..just take it as everything and let it go. Ask me about it if you want to know about a specific piece of music. Except for the twang/ rap, I don't generally say "well I don't like" "insert type here".

Movies:

Too many to list...ask me about specific movies, but I am a major Sci-fi and fantasy geek and so like movies of that type (Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, etc) Oh and of course, anything by Monty Python (It's my right as a woman!)

Television:

Well, geek stuff really... Stargate SG-1 , Stargate Atlantis , Battlestar Galactica (the new one), Smallville , Extreme Makeover Home Edition and I really like Ghost Whisperer . Also, anything with "Star" and "Trek" in the title.

Actually I watch very little TV anymore. I used to be the consummate couch potato, but there is just not much on anymore that I like.

Books:

Well, I am a bibliophile, so just ask me.

Heroes:

The aformentioned Gene Roddenberry.

Every man and woman on the "Wall" at the Nat'l Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial in DC

Every astronaut that has ever strapped a rocket on his/her ass and launched him/herself into space for the betterment of mankind, but specifically the Crews of Apollo 1 , OV-99 Challenger , and the OV-102 Columbia, and also, the twenty-nine men of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald , lost in Lake Superior on November 10 1975 at approx 725 PM. You will not be forgotten.

For all of you lost in the line of duty... " batlhDaqawlu'taH " ...."You will be remembered with honor!"
