"Mr Adams' Blues"

About Me

--I am a solo artist at the moment, a singer/songwriter/guitar player finishing up my first, independently produced CD. Been doing music for a lot of my life, from churches to bars. In the last 7 years I saw the country coast to coast (and saw the Panama Canal) with the bands Hells Bells and Sin City from Nashville, TN and Sticky Fingers from New York City/Tampa FL. In late 04 I decided to stop the travel for a bit and work on my own tunes, from cassettes and notebooks filled over the last 20 years or so. The project is close to being finshed. Now I'm back doing work with those two bands. Mr Adams' Blues is the name of this project and the name of the band behind the project. I'd be interested in collaborating with like minded musicians and visual artists, people interested in having some fun and doing something a little different. I currently play solo shows in the Huntsville area and will likely play some full band shows in the coming months, as Mr Adams Blues and in other projects.--These are solo demos for my CD (all songs copyright 2004 Blake Nix ), tales of love, longing, and loss. A work close to completion finally. This is also a way for my friends and family to see and hear what I've been up to while they haven't been seeing much of me. These tunes are in the demo stage right now but you can finally tell where they're going. My buddy Tom Drennan of Nashville, TN was kind enough to help out with the drums on these demos. He plays (and sings) with my friends in Hells Bells and Circle II Circle. Drummers James Irvin (Microwave Dave and the Nukes, and the Crackerjacks) and Jim Kolacek (Toy Shop) have been by the studio to help out recently. Blame me for the rest: vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, bass. My teaching website is now up and you can contact me there. blakenix.com The band web site will follow soon. Thanks for stopping by...
