SESAC is a performing rights organization (PRO). We represent songwriters and publishers and their right to be compensated for having their music performed publicly. It's simple; when your song gets played, we collect your royalties and pay you. SESAC was the very first PRO to use a highly-sophisticated digital tracking device called BDS (Broadcast Data Systems) to keep track of your songs. We collect royalties in every facet of public performance: mainstream radio, college radio, satellite radio, internet radio, television, concert venues, and the list goes on and on.
