Jeff grew up in the Buffalo area. While still in high school, he performed regularly with the very popular Buffalo funk machine 'CO Jones' which featured members of the Goo Goo Dolls and Rick James' band (Dave Schultz - keys, Jerry Livingston - bass, Kenny Hawkins - guitar, Big Mike - drums, Al Monti - sax). Jeff was also a featured soloist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Jeff graduated from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY in 1999. There he studied with Ralph Alessi and Mike Cain (jazz performance), Charles Geyer and Barbara Butler (applied trumpet). Jeff moved to NYC in the fall of 2000. Since moving to NYC, he has performed with The Lonnie Plaxico Group, N'Dea Davenport (of the Brand New Heavies), the Teo Macero Jazz Orchestra, The Loser's Lounge, Yo La Tengo, Stew and The Negro Problem, The Jim Keller Band, Jenni Muldaur, Teddy Thompson, Travis Sullivan's Bjorkestra, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Norah Jones, Paul Anka, Gary US Bonds, The Four Tops, Los Bandidos, Anna Dagmar Johnson, Grupo Miguelito, 12 Angry Men, Allison Tartalia, Gwen Snyder's Blueberry and Moby. He has recorded with numerous groups and artists. In the summer of 2005, Jeff played in the house band for ABC's short-lived primetime gameshow 'My Kind of Town' which also featured Mike McGinnis and Brian Drye, his 'Monster Horns' section mates.
