Dead Poet Alighieri (born on August 25, 1984 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American hip hop artist, poet, graphic novelist, and one fifthof the hip hop collective Death Valley aka Divine Victory (Prince Cairo, Quest Apollo, Rebel Cons and Hakwise). His stage name is taken from the late great Dante Alighieri who is known for his vivid poetry on personal and spiritual elevation. Dead is often associated with morbidity and the absence of life and rightfully so, but the "dead" in Dead Poet Alighieri has a more spiritual meaning implicating that he is not of this world, he is dead to it, so to speak. He has self-applied a variety of monikers including Al Elric; the most common being, "Ally-Poe" while also proclaiming himself as 'a god amongst insects.'
