Death Valley (Archangels)- An allegiance of brothers who collaborate under and in the name of the Most High, living God to edu-tain (educate/entertain) people from all walks of life with the use of God’s wisdom, his strength and guidance. *Death Valley- Psalm 23:4- Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me… The name of the group reflects the life in which we live. Theoretically we are in ‘death valley’. A valley by definition is the lowest point or area between hills. It can also be compared to a gorge or canyon. To the members of Death Valley life itself is the ‘valley’. This is due to the upsets and struggles of everyday life with emphasis on the have-nots. We are at the lowest point in life due to various things, most specifically our upbringing, and environmental surroundings. It is the ‘valley of death’ (with emphasis on death) because in this life, which is the ‘valley’, death seems to be the most prevalent thing amongst all of us. Death is obviously a physical inevitability but we also examine death from a mental perspective as well. There are a great deal among those who are physically alive who are dead to the knowledge of God, dead to the knowledge of history, and in arguably the worst case, dead to the knowledge of self, origin and heritage. So theoretically the ‘death valley’ is in what we live. The name of the group is a perpetual reminder of those who are underprivileged, those who are intellectually weak, and those who are spiritually lost. *Archangels- 1 Thessalonians 4:16- For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God… Archangels’ is the subtitle of Death Valley as in “Death Valley Archangels”. An angel is traditionally an attendant or messenger of God. Arch is a prefix meaning chief, or the utmost being of something, hence, archangels the most supreme and highest ranking angels. Death Valley views it’s members individually and collectively to be in attendance to God. We convey his gospel (good news), his justice, and his prosperity through lyric and song. We collaborate under God to celebrate, and teach his will through lyrics and poetry. We edu-tain (entertain/educate) people to the utmost and strive to seek peace by ridding ourselves of all aspects of negativity. We submit to God to the best of our ability through study of His word, witnessing through testimony of life, and witnessing through testimony of ability, lyrical creativity, and verbal dexterity. Praise is also an attribute to consider amongst the rest as well. Though we don’t all believe in the same “religion” we all acknowledge God’s existence and omnipotence. We all fear Him and his being and we acknowledge his inevitable judgment.
