One Fight - Hand in Hand

About Me

The Year 2007. I am 19 years old. Last night I found myself tossing and turning in my bed. There was a lot on my mind and eventually I gave up trying to fall asleep and got up. I grabbed my newest action novel and skimmed through it but it didn't hold my interest. With a sigh I put it back on the shelf and pulled out my laptop. I found myself searching through Myspace filling out surveys and looking through friends profiles. After an hour of endless searching I found myself on my schools portal. I attend a large university in Washington D.C. but I had to take a semester off. Finally about midnight I signed off and managed to fall asleep. This morning however I found myself thinking the same things. You see I am in love with a boy. Yes a boy. I am a gay man. This boy that I find myself obsessing about at times is the love of my life. But today's world seems to push us apart. His family refuses to accept it and my family accepts it but barley. My mother does her best to try and push me toward women. It usually ends up in a fight and then she says that she just doesn't want me to get hurt. I understand where she's coming from. We are supposed to live in a “Free” country. I love my country don't get me wrong it just angers me when I cant marry the person I love. Here in Vermont we have Civil Unions but what good is that if it isn't recognized anywhere else? These are the things that consume my thoughts.

The point of this Myspace is to create a group. Call it a coalition of people if you will. A coalition of people who want to create a change. Isn't it time for a change? It takes one person to change the world. Just imagine what a group of people can do?
We do have a group, if you click the below banner you can get there. Please join and discuss issues, news, or life happenings with your fellow supporters.

1000+ For Marriage

Although we didn't meet the 1000+ people goal I had hoped for we got to 174 people in a matter of 2 weeks. There were also well over 500 page views. So we can all assume that the campaign was none the...
