FAZZ

Freshy frenchie electro groove !

About Me

FAZZ explores a modern electro universe based on a truly house sound. Very much like jazz club vibrations, their musical atmospheres echo the musicians' eclectism and complicity.

The project was launched in 2002 at the initiative of Emmanuel André who was impressed by the inventiveness of Philippe Juven's sound. Emmanuel's original idea was to form a computed backing band destined for musicians from all horizons, playing live. It has become a reality thanks to his lifelong partner, Remi Roux-Probel (Trumpet).

The public then discovered FAZZ not only in festivals ( Big Jama, Nuits Sonores ) but also on webTV. When playing live, Fazz always feels free to improvise and mixes the tones of musical instruments with the sound of machines. Fazz renews itself at each performance to share a unique and intimate moment with the audience.

For Emmanuel, "Every musician' s sensitiveness alllows him to integrate the emotional relationship he develops with the public and the other musicians, into his music."

Fazz also performed with Laurent De Wilde, Sayag Jazz Machine, Rubin Steiner and Vitalic, but the public was expecting a first album. Then FAZZ asked themselves whether it was necessary and useful to record this musical adventure on such a medium in the MP3 and cell phone era. Anyway, two years' work later, "DADVSI & CHLOE" was born between Clermont-Ferrand, Besançon, Paris et Karlsruhe.

Emmanuel André aka Dax has been keen on music ever since he was a child. Self-taught, he played the piano, then turned to digital creation. After devoting several years to demoscene, he integrated this experience into his musical creation and used the computer exactly like a real band.

Rémi Roux-Probel began by playing the trumpet, then the piano. After studying in several music academies for some years, Rémi was eager to explore new prospects. So, Fazz is oxygen for this trumpet player's musical research and an opportunity to develop his creativeness.
