Citizen Records was
founded in 2001 by Vitalic as he wishes to develop a laboratory for music. He
started releasing productions of friends & newcomers, without thinking of any
commercial aim.
Then in 2003, he thought it was time to start invading the music market with
some new sound, new artists according to the citizen moto :
“CITIZEN, Fresh Blood Onlyâ€.
Since then, the label continues to develop itself, enlarging the source, signing
SaD MaFioSo from Canada, Holeg Spies (also known on the Japanese market for his
EBM / gothic / trance productions), Shockers (a newcomer from the french
riviera), JohnLordFonda of which Citizen issued the album, meeting huge press
feedback.
Recently, new energies invested the factory. “Consolationâ€, the rebirth album of
Juan Trip', an UFO inspired by seventies feelings. A compilation in partnership
with a club of the south of France, Villa Rouge vol.4. The first album of the
both duet The Penelope[s] and Teenage Bad Girl.
since then, the micronauts "damaging consent, cocote 2.0 by the teenage, then
realease on the first trimester 2008 the vinyl collectio & Maek XII 2 project
that show the dark side of Citizen records.....
To follow in the next month, the new Fixmer/Mc carthy
album, the next villa rouge Compilation & the first techno album from
Blackstrobe's Arnaud Rebotini...mind your steps !
