In 2001, Curtis appeared on and became a two-time winner of the nationally acclaimed “It’s Showtime at the Apollo†and in 2002, he was chosen as one of the "TOP 5 out of 250" to re-appear on the finalist show.He is currently the leader of Praise & Worship at Central Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, PA. under Pastor Victor Grigsby and he is also the leader of the Central Baptist Church Youth & Young Adult Choir and The Angel Choir.Curtis is a featured soloist on John P. Kee and The New Life Singers "Blessed By Association" cd and John P. Kee’s VIP Music and Arts Seminar “The Power of Worship.†He has also guest appreared on several other independant artists' cd projects.On Sept. 17, 2003, Curtis was the premier vocalist for the star-studded after party held for Paramount’s “The Fighting Temptations†movie, held at the Highland Club in Los Angeles, CA.
