lost towns and strange disappearances; breathing caves, bottomless ponds, bomb craters and unexplained phenomena; strange organizations, Indian mounds, swamp critters and frightening beasts; art cars, taxidermy masterpieces, local villains and hometown heroes; UFO sightings and saucer- or rocket-shaped buildings; whole automobiles, airplanes or pianos mounted on signs; roadside attractions and snake farms, weird murals and billboards; frogs or fish falling from the sky, freak tornado accidents and other bizarre weather events; strange objects dredged up in nets or found on fishing lines; flimflammers, moonshiners, and imperial wizards; street preachers, inventors and interstate smugglers; haunted highways, haunted houses, devil trees, haints and ghosts; shell gardens, bottle farms, hubcap ranches, chainsaw art, unusual mailboxes or extreme yard art; over-the-top holiday decor, pet cemeteries, creepy graveyards and eccentric monuments; giant fruit, humungous furniture (and awe-inspiring anything else); abandoned fallout shelters and cool-looking ruins of old factories, prisons, asylums, forts, tunnels or plantations; lynch mob sites, highway killers, gruesome crime scenes, cursed construction projects, odd place names or business names (Hairy Kerry's Hair Salon, Squat'n'Gobble Cafe), and so on ... writing the furies and falters, getting to know the invisible people, documentary filmmaking, luthiery, driving without a map, following people, looking at things, picking up things on the ground and putting them in different places. i like the idea of zoology, paleobotany, and many other things...
