Clint Lewis And SouthboundThe, Who, What, When, Where, & How: The group has a combined of 110 years of experience. Clint (Peanut) Lewis started playing guitar at age 13, not long after that he had a tragic accident that cut off the tip of his left ring finger. Dr.s told him hed never play again. They were wrong! Clint has gone on & has played in several bluegrass bands, Country Bands, and has recorded 2 CDs total. Thr first a self Titled CD Clint Lewis " Breakin' Pont" The last CD "Clint Lewis & Southbound, Friends & Honkytonk Crowds" which is 95% originals written by Clint alone.His down home, partying, take you back,Heart felt, What if, writing style will make you want to open a cold one sit back on you front porch and relax and think back. or Party till the cows come home. His Rock-a-Billy / Chuck Berry style of lead picking is fun to watch, You can see how much he feels his music when you watch him at any Live show.He has opend for Larry Crane, Played at the Indiana State Fair. Clint is working on material for a 3rd CD to come of in The summer / early Fall of 2007.Everett Crawley (drummer) is a very serious person (NOT) He is the joker in the band. He started to play drums at age 18. He grew up singing in church and had a lot of encouragement from his parents and family. Just watching him is a show in it's self. He sets the stage with his raw talent and ear for what ever you throw at him!! Everett has been with Clint The longest & has also opened for Larry Crain & played the Indiana state Fair, & Is the Drummer of the " Clint Lewis & Southbound, Friends & Honkytonk Crowds" CD. Everett also is a vocalist & likes to play guitar when he gets a chance. He the Back bone of Southbound.Doug Maxie (lead guitar) has been playing since he was 10, he learned from his father who played guitar & banjo, as Doug dose in his spare time. Doug has played in a few other bands as well. Doug influences are Merle Haggard, AC/DC among many, many others. Doug is a very energetic performer, he is all over the stage & loves to crank up the volume at times. Doug also writes music in his spare time & the band does his stuff from time to time. You’ll never be bored with watching Doug play his guitar ( Fender Telecaster) & he loves his new Fender amp. Eddy Miller(Bass) also was influenced by his parents and other family. Eddy plays from the heart and set the pace with his hard thumping in your face style of bass playing. His background for music was influenced by bluegrass & country roots. Eddy Loves to move around a lot on stage. He has played with Nashville recordeing artist WEs Miller on several Projects & engineered on a few of Wes's CD'sTracy Lewis also is a vocalist in the band and writes some too. She grew up singing in church and led the youth choir group in her church. She keeps all the guys in line and is affectionately known as 'Boss' Her musical style is somewhere between Stevie Nicks and the Sheryl Crow. There is no holding back for her on stage she loves to perform live and just draws energy from the crowd. She also dose all the bands bookings & PR work. So that means she (I ) have wrote this bio. Somebody had to do it!! Southbound is in the process of recording a new demo for 2007 with new originalsWe have 2 Cd's out & in the works of doing a 3rd.
