More stuff:

Photography, (shooting film and now mostly digital), and also video, (which I'm still in the process of learning), editing pics/websites, co-running wailingcity.com with Shaun, being involved with and supporting the arts/music scene of New London, Art, writing, dreaming, being in love and sharing my life with Adam, being very superstitious and believing everything happens for a reason, being inspired, being around people that share common goals and interests, drives with the music blaring, a good brew, chucks (!), I have a strange obsession with Subaru's, especially WRX STI's...

....obsessing over the insanity of people I despise, pitchers amongst friends at the dutch, meeting new people, good conversation, going out to eat, Jack Daniels,(but just about any whiskey will do), Guinness, Bass Ale, PBR, cheese... (any way shape or form of it!!), picnics, bike riding, swimming, the beach, (especially at 2am after shows), trees in the fall, rock shows, rain, fall in general is my favorite time of the year, the smell of woodstoves, snow, being snowed in, stars, good breathable brisk air, (I'm an air sign... so it's a MUST), being in good company, day trips, last minute excursions out of town, NYC, traveling and road trips in general, ice cream, sleeping in, coffee, the color green, bathroom graffiti, wasting my time away on myspace....

I HAVE NO TOLERANCE FOR: People that try to impress or get attention from other people by acting or dressing a certain way, or even worse copying someone. Imitation is NOT flattery, it's being fake. I also can't stand people that pretend to be your friend to get something other than friendship. I don't understand friends that stop talking to you because you don't assosiate with their friends.... or just friends that stop talking to you becasue they have their heads up their asses. I despise drama. Especially drama casued by girls that think they are still in high school. I can't stand people that talk about themselves too much, that don't listen to other people, are selfish, rude, mean, bullies or are too forward, don't have manners, lie, say imnappropriate things, or are immature or unfair. If you are any of these things, or are a falling down drunk EVERY time I see you... I have absolutely NO tolerance for you. Steer clear from me or I'll pound you. Simple as that.

I'd like to meet:

My maternal grandfather, Daniel Holland, who passed away 2 years before I was born. He was a drummer... and worked hard for a living on the railroad right here in New London to support a big irish family with 6 children. It eventually cost him his hearing, yet he still played music. To know that I have inherited his musical drumming genes makes me EXTREMELY proud to be playing music. I know he is looking over me, and I know he is there with me constantly. Coincidence that my band The Paul Brockett Roadshow has many songs about trains? One can only wonder...

Sean Lennon... oh wait, I already DID meet him!

Music:

I have a love for ALL good music.... absolutely nothing excluded! I listen to just about everything.

ALL local music from the "Wailing City" - New London, Connecticut!!!

The majority of what I listen to:

The Beatles, John Lennon, Sean Lennon, Deftones, Aloke, Emergency Music, Pash, Denali, Bella Lea/Ambulette/GLOS, Engine Down, The Clash, The Ratchets, The Cardinal Sin, Ignite, Grade, Nigel six, MXPX, Millencollin, Murder Mile, Lord Fowl, Social Distortion, New Tomorrow, Eagles of Death Metal, Prince, Riddle Of Steel, Traindodge, Glassjaw, Tom Waits, David Bowie, U2, Burning Airlines, Yoko Ono, Johnny Cash, Violent Femmes, The Postal Service, Death Cab For Cutie, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Elliott Smith, The Life and Times, Hey Mercedes, The Pine Hill Haints, Birthday Suits, Team Sleep, The Cure, Blondie, Modest Mouse, Wire, The Cars, Depeche Mode, The Specials, Reverend Horton Heat, Cranberries, Mogwai, Rancid, Catch 22, Suicide Machines, Op Ivy, Spring Heeled Jack, Johnny Too Bad & The Strikeouts, Skavoovie & The Eptiones, Allstonians, Toasters, (the ska list goes on and on), Phil Collins/Genesis, Foo Fighters, Duran Duran, Coheed and Cambria, Far, The Police, Maroon 5, No Doubt, Sublime, Shiner, Radiohead... TONS more

I

I was blessed to have grown up in one the best local scenes ever: New London County. Bands like Doug, Lotus, Delta Of Venus, The Reducers, Grand Passion, Adams Onis, Squash, Felix, Jambalaya, Golgo, Analysand, 3$depthcharge (before me), The Afflicted, Johnny Too Bad & The Strikeouts, Spring Heeled Jack, and many more... made me who I am today. I want to keep our scene alive for the next generation. I think of the kids now who will build their lives on the music they listen to, play...and go to shows to see. It's time to give back. Think of what you have now New London, cuz it's awesome right now. Don't take it for granted. Support your scene.

Movies:

In The Name Of The Father, That Thing You Do, Purple Rain, Walk The Line

I have tons, and they sit on my shelf.

Heroes:

My friends are my heroes, hands down.

I've been blessed with the absolute best friend ever, Corina.
