What's so funny 'bout Peace, Love & Understanding?

About Me

"Rock me Jesus, roll me Lord, and wash me in the blood of Rock and Roll..." Seeing live music is what I do for fun. Has been ever since I saw the Ramones at Willimantic's Shaboo Inn in 1978. Makes the cretin in me hop, know what I'm sayin'? I've been hosting The Punk Rock Jukebox since 1995 on WCNI in New London (90.9, thursdays at noon) and on WECS in Willimantic (90.1, fridays at 11am). It's Punk Rock 101, baby. Go to school.

My Interests

Punk. Rock. Punk rock.

I'd like to meet:

People who, i don't know, don't suck?

Music:

Ramones, Buzzcocks, Stranglers, Clash, Television, early Devo, Rezillos, Wire, New York Dolls, Richard Hell, the first 4 Elvis Costello LPs, Dictators, Lou Reed/Velvets, the Vibrators' "Pure Mania", Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, Dead Fingers Talk's "Storm The Reality Studios" LP, Public Enemy (boyeeeeee!), Parliament/Funkadelic, Stooges, the 1st Suicide LP, This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb, Angry Samoans' "Back From Samoa", Germs, Tin Huey, X, Nirvana, Dead Boys. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Godfathers I+II, Marx Brothers, W.C. Fields, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Exorcist, Delicatessen, cheesy 70's movies of the week featuring disabled airplanes, Into The Woods, Monty Python + the Holy Grail, Pink Panther Films, The Reducers: America's Best Unsigned Band, Laura, the Coen Brothers, Requiem For A Dream, Jaws, The Missiles of October, 30's and 40's Universal monster films, Sink The Bismarck, George Romero's "Dead" films, Boondock Saints, Forbidden Zone, The Last of Sheila, Theater of Blood, Asian gore films, My Fair Lady, David Freakin' Lynch, Bad Taste, Titanic films, Peter Greenaway, Equus, 70's Irwin Allen disaster films, Mitchell (MST3K version--"Joe Don Baker IS Mittens!!")

Television:

New York Yankees Baseball, Family Guy, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, MST3K, 70s Norman Lear sitcoms, cheesy movies.

Books:

A Confederacy of Dunces (the funniest book ever), Please Kill Me, From The Velvets To The Voidoids, bios, Mr. Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., the quite fun Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, non-lame Stephen King (c'mon, there is SOME...). Oh, and David Sedaris is one funny motherfucker.

Heroes:

yawn.
