Four guys with very different music backgrounds started the band in Copenhagen 2001. Concerts all around the country in the next few years in smaller and well-established clubs was gasoline to the ambition.
In 2004 the started the recordings for the debut album, produced by the well known Swedish sound wizard Mattias Glavå, who had previously produced Hakan Hellstrom, Broder Daniel and Granada.
Additional vocals by Anna Jarvinen (Granada) on Passengers and Ghosts behind our wheel were recorded in her bedroom in Stockholm.
Since then Skywriter has performed at the established clubs all over Denmark and made a lot of shows in Germany.
Skywriter made a record deal with Iceberg Records one hot afternoon at Roskilde Festival 2005.
The album Where Both Worlds Never Meet was released in March 2006 in DK on Wild Mood Records in cooperation with Iceberg Records. It will be released in Germany in October 2008 with a following German tour.
The album was in Top Ten at the American site about nordic music: itsatrap 2006
And in Top Ten at Parasol Records 2006 album releases.
