Beat me up Baby

Spacey guitars, kinky beats, groovy bass lines, and catchy vocals with attitude… this is what Beat Me Up Baby is all about. The guys have a great love and passion for most of the sounds and styles of the late 70s and the very early 80s... their influences range from bands like Les Rockets, Telex, Giants, Devo, Sex Pistols to the picture vibes of that same period such as the Warriors, Rollerball, Tenebrae and the slash period of the Italian macabre movie scene. Alex Puddu and Justin Schøning are the two creative minds behind the project, and have already explored various territories of the electronica scene with their earlier, well-acclaimed projects such as Puddu Varano and 3eme Sexe. The new single "Pull the Trigger on my Gun" including the brilliant b-side "Here comes the Sheriff" has been released in spring 2007 as a 12’’ vinyl. The band has already built a strong reputation on the Danish electro-scene with great live performance at The Danish Dj Awards and the Vesterbro Festival. Beat Me Up Baby are about to release their new single “Hey you come on”, - a brilliant dance floor track with a remarkable sloppy disco vibe. The band is currently working on an album to be released in the spring of 2008.
