About Me
Composed by twin brothers, Gifted and Justhis, Siah-Me’Z is more than a new sensation. Although they rhyme along, each has his own uniqueness. While Gifted shows the grimy facet, Justhis is known as the versatile twin, but in no way to be mistaken for soft. With a natural talent and big plans in mind, the brothers are working out their way to the top. Indeed their drive and originality have paved their way to success while their punchlines and realness have earned them recognition. After Genesis (Nov 2005) and Judgment Day (April 2004), the duo is working on a third mixtape The New Empire to be followed by their first album.
With these new tracks, Siah-Me’Z comes to revive the true spirit of hip-hop, to remind the public that strong lyrics and genuine sound last longer that phony gimmicks and synthetic beats. By staying on the grind for 5 years, the twins have met new people, lived new experiences, created new opportunities, and reinforced their position in the streets. With polished technique and improved lyrical skills, Siah-Me’Z came up with the innovative material on The New Empire. Like any new phenomenon, their sound cannot be easily be categorized. From the club banger to the introspective passing by the streetwise, The New Empire does not sound like any regular mixtape. Yet it is only an introduction to the upcoming album. We told you: Hip-Hop is about to resurrect but the story does not start here…
In 1984, a set of Haitian American born twins, ironically Gemini, made their first debut out onto the world.
Jumel and Jovani Verna spent their first 9 years in Brooklyn then moved to Queens, where they currently reside. Raised in a strong family circle, they have developed early an ambitious work ethics. The brothers formed Siah-Me’Z in 2000. Close like Siamese twins… Siah meaning King… Me'z pointing to each of them… the name has story in itself. They gained a momentum in 2002 thanks to the support of a neighbor Cassius (Flia Entertainment / City Knights Management Inc.) who compared their introduction to the game to Lebron James’.
Siah-Me’Z wants to leave a trace, to release classics, and be part of the hip-hop entrepreneurs’ dynasty. Both are founding members of the FLIP FAM Organization, and currently prepare to graduate at Long Island University, where they both major in Marketing. From the streets to the buildings, a drive to succeed is their personal way to pay homage to their parents’ struggle to raise nine kids in Queens’ projects
Feeling more mature and closer to their people, they strongly believe that “once they're heard, they can't be stopped.†After all, from the Ancient Rome to the mysterious Africa, twins have been known as founders, magicians, and heroes. History does not know yet that in 2000 was born Siah-Me’Z, the duo of Twin Kings that would overtake the Hip-Hop game.
