Latest Endeavors •Composed and produced the score for the film, Float, which premiered in June (’07) at Lowes Theatre in New York •Mixed the lastest release for the Brooklyn based band, La Pieta •Had a song featured in the Sundance Selection, Drop Back Ten, written and directed by Stacy Cochran • Played accordion on Craig Richey’s soundtrack for the film, Friends with Money (2006), starring Jennifer Aniston • Awarded a grant by the North Carolina Arts Council to pursue his solo record which will be released in the coming year (2006) • Composed and will perform the soundscape for Naomi Iizuka’s Language of Angels, at the Lincoln Center (March 2006) • Produced and engineered Lemons, the Los Angeles based talent, Michelle Armstrong’s latest release (2006) • Upchurch scored the musical composition for a New York production of [sic]. • Scored the musical composition for Artist in Action production Snakebit, (NYC). • Recorded two songs for Vic Chestnut’s soundtrack to the award winning documentary, Rough South of Larry Brown, directed by Gary Hawkins.In the nine years with Emma Gibbs Band, Upchurch shared stages with such greats as James Taylor, BB King, Derek Trucks, Doc Watson, Bela Fleck, Peter Rowan, Tony Rice, Los Lobos, and many others.
