My Interests

Get a scroller sign at editmyspace.org! I'm a 52 yo fulltime working single female. I recently started my own business as interimmanager, searching for assignments at the moment; busy to relocate to the city (back to Groningen), where I have history. My daughter, 20yo, is a singer, a student and a nutter. She's my living heroine.I too love to sing (from 70ies rock to Anouk to American Songbook) and I love fotografy and nature (birdwatching). I am interested in almost everything, but don't ask me about football, jazz, getting drunk or waisted :) I love to see the world, travelling myself or watch NatGeo or DisChan; I have a strong believe in reincarnation and that everything happens for a reason. Not afraid of death or dying (not suicidal though! :)) I am a very positive person, love to rock&roll with (young) people. Sadly enough (?) I don't find too much connection with people my own age. Most of them are old. I'm not. I love the elderly, but only to work for or with, LOL. Writing is possibly my most favorite thing to do. When I write, I confirm. Myself and my thoughts. Hey, maybe I should try to write lyrics!

I'd like to meet:

Fun people, interesting people, music minded people, open minded honest people, crazy people. Just how they come.

Music:

40 years of musical experience: how does one describe that? John Mayall and the Bluesbrakers, Them, The Animals, Beatles ánd Stones, Rod Stewart, Uma Gumma from Pink Floyd, Golden Earring, In A Gadda Da Vida, Joe Cocker, Neil Young, all artists at Woodstock including Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Barok music like Bach, Albinoni, Aafje Heynis, Rod Stewart, Muse, Placebo, N*E*R*D, Black Eyed Peas, RHC Peppers, Travoltas, Counting Crows, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Amos Lee, Gerard van Maasakkers, Roger Cicero, Nizlopi, Beck, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, The Enemy, Kaiser Chiefs, Tool and now completing the circle with Joe Bonamassa. Too many to name them all.

Movies:

do's: cult, thrillers, some old movies, romantic stories, SF (the good ones)and lately: Japanese movies! don'ts: stupid comedies, too much violence, fightmovies, silly horror, bad SF, porn

Television:

LOST, CSI's (although I get a bit weary of the plots lately), Animal Planet (Meerkat Manor!), Steve Irwin (who died a cruel death), Steve Mear, documentories, news, backgrounds, De Wereld Draait Door, some series. And boy, do I hate football!

Books:

Conny Palmen, Jonathan Safran Foer (he gives me heavy boots) Thrillers: Koontz, Chrighton, Brown, etc. Poetry: Rainer Maria Rilke (the best poet ever!) Old Dutch poets, when poetry was still poetry.

Heroes:

My father who died when I was 17, my oldest brother who died in 2002 (both 51yrs of age), the big just spiritual leaders like Jesus (go read about his life in Lamb, the Gospel according to Biff, Christs childhood pall, by Christofer Moore!), Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Buddha, Dalai Lama, my spiritual Mother Helma, but also: Captain Katrhyn Janeway, she's a rollmodel :) and last but not least my daughter JJ, who is going to find her roll in life when it is time and then shine like zillion stars (is that a whole galaxy?) and meanwhile rocks her rolls.
