We have crawled out from underneath our rock!
What’s up everyone! Welcome to our first studio journal! Our last journal left off with us heading back to NY after a very successful four-month, 20+ state tour. Since then, we’ve integrated ourselves back into civilization. That’s right- sleeping indoors, showering regularly, etc. And none of us have been in a Panera bread since May!
Since we’ve gotten back, we’ve been 100% focused on writing material for our next album. On a daily basis, we’re on lockdown at Seer HQ in Massapequa, NY, writing song after song. Our experience on the road has made us very inspired and motivated for our new material, and we’re happy to tell you that this material reflects the band we’ve become since we released 2020, in 2006.
We are also very excited to announce that our next album will be produced at VuDu Studios with the one and only Mike Watts ! Mike is an incredibly talented guy. He has recently produced the new As Tall As Lions and A Farewell Fire albums. We’re very eager to get in the studio with him!
That’s all for now. Yes, you will be seeing lots more stuff on the page! More photos, more updates... and did you hear Mechanical yet? :)
We are here, we are working hard, and we miss you all!
Peace and Love,

Our debut album, 2020 Buy a CD / Download from iTunes
Influences: Tool, Radiohead, A Perfect Circle, Coldplay, Jeff Buckley, Sigur Ros, Deftones
Sounds Like: Bio: :

Starting as a reunion of childhood friends Eric Zirlinger (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Wayne Silver (lead guitar), and Michael Denton (drums), SEER officially formed in late 2003 with the addition of Paul Komsic (bass). The band developed their sound quickly, and by mid-2004 SEER had released their self-titled EP and their powerful live show had built them a following in their native Long Island.

SEER released their debut full-length album, 2020, in March 2006. In a style that is distinctly SEER’s, 2020 showcases a sound that is both beautiful and evocative, drawing from grandiose arena rock, inspired by the likes of Radiohead, Coldplay, Tool, Pink Floyd and Jeff Buckley. Relying heavily on texture over their musicianship, SEER creates an ambient sound over an alternative rock foundation. 2020 helped the band make a mark on the New York music scene. That buzz has gained them attention in the industry, allowing them the opportunities to open up for national acts such as Days of the New, Eisley, The Sleeping, Simon Dawes, Brighten, Revelation Theory, Uncrowned, and Vaeda.

In January 2007, determined to get their music to a broader audience, SEER began a whirlwind four-month tour across the U.S., performing in over 20 states, including playing at South By Southwest, in Austin, TX, captivating audiences with their powerful and emotional live show. By the time the band had returned to New York, they had become a nationally known band that had been played on over 200 radio stations, including New York's 92.3 K-Rock Radio, as well as Maxim Radio on Sirius 108.

SEER is currently working on their second album, which is being produced by Mike Watts ( As Tall As Lions , Hopesfall ) at VuDu Studios , in Freeport, New York.

Press: :

"...these guys have completely mastered the art of music as a full landscape. Not one channel goes to waste, and it is damn near impossible to not want to hear what they are going to be doing next, whether it's within the boundaries of a particular song, an album, or the band's career. Pay very close attention to these guys in the future."
- Steve-O, Wrank Music:

"[A] more rocking Radiohead ... certainly worth your time and attention. Long Island comes through with some interesting and promising music."
- Kevin Nolan, Under The Volcano:

"...a sound that will surely move people, both on record and live."
- Dan Brown, Goodtimes Magazine:
