Born in Toronto, Ontario, 17 year old “Steve Willz” (Birth Name: Steve Williams) is an up and coming Rapper/Producer. Throughout his life “Steve Willz” has been known as a Perfectionist, and someone who is willing to work hard to earn what he wants in Life. Steve is the type of person to not accept any boundaries, and strive for the best. At the age of 6 or 7 Steve began to take interest in music. Asking his dad to make him mix tapes and Steve would blast a Michel Jackson cassette until his mom would yell to turn it down.Growing up, Steve would find himself going threw countless stages of music. Steve was of course aware of Hip-Hop but didn’t hear it a lot, but after his cousin introduced him to B.E.T. Steve Willz could not get enough of it and this is was around the time where Steve Willz began to write lyrics and was highly interested in Hip-Hop.Steve also had a long time friend named “Stephan” (Aka BeFresh) who was also a fan of Hip-Hop and wrote lyrics. So starting in grade 6 the two would play basketball in Steve’s basement and have Freestyle sessions in his cold cellar using his boom box and holding an air pump as a Mic. “It was nothing serious, we would just rap about stuff that was going on at school and in our life.” Steve says.At the end of grade 8 and the beginning of High School, Steve was introduced to recoding music on a Computer by one of his old friends. Immediately Steve bought a $17 Computer Mic and recorded his first Freestyle on “Windows Sound Recorder” with the beat playing in the background. “Obviously the quality was terrible and I wasn’t the best rapper, but it was something new and it kept me interested” Steve says.Months past and Steve was introduced to a better recoding Program so Steve Willz & BeFresh began to work on a Mix Tape Entitled: “York Regions Finest Vol. 1” witch featured Artist from there area and from Toronto. “To this day I am completely ashamed of that entire CD, the lyrics were pointless and I wasn't flowing at all, but I guess it’s all a part of growing as an artist”.Later on Steve met another rapper in his school named “Vince” (Aka Pragmatic ) Steve showed him some of his music and Pragmatic wanted to collaborate. That same week Steve went to Pragmatics Friends Home Studio witch was incredible in his eyes. Pragmatics partner explained where to purchase the equipment and within a Month with his parents help Steve was able to purchase a new Mic and Mixer.Steve also met a rapper from Nova Scotia, Canada named “Steve Lang” (Aka S-Class ) on a Hip-Hop site. Steve Willz decided to work with him, he saw the drive and determination in S-Class that he saw in himself and S-Class kept Steve Willz Motivated and Steve did they same for him.As time passed Steve Willz changed his name witch was “Dice” to what it is today (Steve Willz), He began to Produce his own material, and Continued to Write, Record and Love Music. But when it was time to release another CD, Steve Willz was not satisfied with his recorded material and decided to start all over again. “I never had a release date for my CD to drop, and I still don’t, but I had over 20 tracks recorded but I didn’t like them. I’m a perfectionist and when something isn't the way I want it, something has to be changed” Steve says.In the past 3 Years Steve Willz has Hosted two successful Mix Tapes with “S-Class” and is currently working on a Solo Album Entitled: "Willpower" set to drop in 2008. Steve is also working with producers such as M Mac & artists such as Mack Fraser “I really feel that I have grown not only as an artist but as a person because of Music, it helps me express myself in a creative way. I will always Love Music and have a deep passion for it. I don’t know where my Life will take me, but I can’t see myself not making music, and even if I grow out of it, witch is not planned, the lessons and things I have learned and experienced from music will always be with me.” “I believe that hard work truly pays off and if you put your Heart, Mind and Soul into something, you can achieve anything you ever wanted, you just need to stay committed and have passion for what you do."Steve Willz
